where is the radiator cap on a 2000 chevy malibu?

really i doubt that the engine light and oil light is coming from the water leak. it is a common repair to have for a malibu the intake gaskets are not very good and don't last very long, i hear that there's better gaskets offered today but i would think that the temp light would come on long before the engine light if was a water issue. personally on the antifreeze that car by factory recommendations is dex cool. and is supposed to be gasket friendly, never heard of koolzone but i would stay with factory recommendations.

Ok. Look at the front of the car. It is by the big fan that turns itself around. Okay if you know what the alternator looks like then it is by that. And you should know what it looks like because you'll f*** your car up. I left the radiator cap off of my car and i blew a head and stuff. Meaning i have to get the engine replaced $1,800.00

No rad cap on that one my friend. Have to use the expansion tank cap to top it up. Warning, don't remove cap when hot. Same precautions as you would use if the cap were on the rad.

my sisters is a 99 malibu and its on the overflow reservior you have a closed system so theres not one on the radiator its on the right inner fender but it sounds like your thermostat or water pump does the guage say its overheating?

the cap is the overflow cap. Remember to use dexcool unless you've had the antifreeze changed to something else it should look reddish in color.

its the cap that says hot caution when opening
