I am 20 years old and since the age of 11, I have been struggling with depression and self-harm. Right now, I'm studying abroad in Germany and one night I had to go to the clinic due to multiple slashes on my arms. I was diagnosed with having borderline personality disorder and depression.
First of all, I know it's wrong to do self-harm, but does the Quran state anything about it? Is there a surah that helps with depression?
I am in therapy and I'm on two medications. I've been praying, but I would like to know there some specifc surahs that will help me. Thank you all my brothers and sisters.

Ok here is the deal, my best friend is a girl, and im totaly in love with her ( serious im 29, not puppy love) not to sure if i should tell her how i feel and risk a good friendship or make thing awkeward for us, we share so much in common, she says what im thinking, finishes my sentences its so wierd. I will be beginning chemotherapy in a city about 30 miles away next week. I know I need a driver my first time, but will there ever be a time when I can drive myself? (I will be having Herceptin and Navelbine, which are quite mild for side effects like nausea and hair loss.)

I don't know ANYTHING about the actual immediate effects chemo has on people, other than the nausea but surely that doesn't begin within the 1st hour?!

Do I have a window of "wellness" where I can drive home safely after treatment or do I ALWAYS have to have a companion? The ride is about an hour - depending on traffic.

And unless you have had or worked with the drugs I mentioned, you may have out-of date info. Thanks anyway.

Hi, I am a very introverted, shy college student. I am working on the shyness part, but I will always be introverted. I have two roommates who are pretty outgoing. I think they are both extroverted. One of them claims she is a little shy,but she has the most friends out of all of us and is always talking to someone on the phone or online. I constantly compare myself to them and i always feel inadequate. i am comfortable with not having millions of different people to talk to everyday, but I am starting to feel like there is something wrong with me and that i should be talking to way more people. Some times i feel pressured to go out all the time and sometimes they'll say that they want me to because they know i want to meet more people. I enjoy going to bars on occasion but I don't think getting drunk every weekend will help me be more outgoing or meet good friends. I tend to have close friends and everybody else is sort of an acquaintance. I am not sure what to think or do with myself

everytime I meet some gay or lesbian
that bother me alot so next step I try to walk aways
when they see me do that they begin to accuse me
to have some issue kind sex discrimination
so then they try to convince me
be gay or lesbian is normal and they force me to accept that

well is not normal for me!!

I just honest with this people to share what are my feeling about
that and I get insult with word like racist,bastar_d conservative etc etc

Hey, I am Eighteen and a UK Citizen. I am due to go to Uni but really am not interested. I want to be a film maker and there are no quality courses offered in the UK. I found out that my girlfriend (4yrs) and mother of my 19mo daughter is planning to leave me. And go back to cleveland from lexington KY, where we are now. i found a whole folder from Ryan homes with floor plans and everything. she already has the property picked out to build on! shes in an employment contract that holds her here untill the end of the school year (shes a teacher). Ive known since a week before new years. (merry christmas to me) But i dont know how much longer i can keep it to myself. Should i wait to see what/if she tells me? Should i admit i know? Should i just leave her b4 she leaves me? I just don't know what to do. any advice will be appreciated.
