The farmer then goes to the vet and asks how he can get his sheep to reproduce. The vet suggests artificicial insemination. The farmer doesn't know what that term means but is too embarrassed to admit it. He then gets the idea that he has to fertilize the sheep himself. The farmer then asks the vet, "How will I know when they're pregnant?" "They'll be really lazy and just lying around in the grass." The vet replies.
The farmer then returns home, packs up his sheep in his truck and takes them up to the hill to "artificially inseminate" them. The next morning, he looks out the window to see if they are laying in the grass. To his dismay, they are not. He tries again, but is unsuccessful. He looks out the window and again, the sheep are not laying in the grass. He tries one more time and in the morning he asks his wife if they are laying in the grass as he is too tired to even look out the window.
She replies,"No, they're all in your truck and one is honking the horn!"

My life was ok.I didn't feel the need to take any form of action to alter any aspect of it. Then one day things gradually got worse and worse. I was bullied,went on anti depressants changed schools made new friends got even further bullied, got beaten within an inch of my life my an abusive boyfriend, fell pregnant at 16, didnt get any qualifications from school, lost all my so called 'friends' when I gave birth and that was that. I'm now a bit wiser and have slowly got things back on track. Got a good boyfriend a beautiful daughter, a 'choice' selection of friends and hopefully I'm going back to college and getting into part time work. I realised that no matter what happened to me there was nothing I could do to stop it so I had to take it all in my stride. I faced up to my fears so that I didnt have to live in fear that I wasnt good enough all the time. I told those a**holes whats what filed charges and a few months later here I am ready to start again and erase those bad memories!

my daughter turnes two next month and yesterday afternoon i took he to watch her cousin in her dance class and she was facinated with it im thinking about putting her in some sort of dance class but would it be worth it or should she weight until shes older and she can get something out of it

My routine is usually 3-4 times a week for about 1.5 hours. (Abs, upperbody, 30 min cardio one day and abs, lower body, 30 min cardio the next.) Also, I eat around 1200-1300 calories a day.
I feel like the cardio I do is a high intensity and I am starting to dread it lately. I was losing about 2 lbs or more a week for the past 2 months and now I am not losing anything. I still want to lose another 30 lbs!
Any suggestions on how I can get out of this funk? What is a good way to change my workout without making it dreadful? How do I stay motivated? How do I start losing weight again? I have no problems with the eating part.. just the exercise. Thanks!

She just came to live with him last summer. While with her mom, she was into drugs and way behind in school. Her mom was more interested in her own drugs and boyfriends. So this girl started off pretty good, she kept up with homework, she took classes to be a CNA and has a job on weekends and after school. But her dad is self-employed but not very motivated, never has money. He lives with his parents and doesn't have a home for her, although she has a room at his parents, but she stays with this 26 yr old guy that she says is "just a friend". His house is a drug house. Her dad is a very passive guy and doesn't know how to handle a 16 year old in this situation. He's afraid if he says something then she'll want to go back and live with her mom. He blames it all on her mom, but I think he's giving up and should try. We're in a very small area with little resources. I haven't ever talked to him much about his daughter and the situation even though he's a very close friend. Help!

Is it just more or does anyone else thing evolution is done with? Just think about it evolution was here to make it where we (and other things) can better adapt to their surrounding. But now we have no use to evolve and neither does many animals and other things out there. I mean why would any animal really need to evolve anymore? We now take care of them put them in Zoos clean them save their forests...etc. We are now taking care of them. And now we are making technology to take care of us. So if you think about it evolution now has no play to go. We have stunted our growth as humans and can really no longer evolve.

Nice Guy Wrote in a previous question: “Matt has basically stated that animals are equally important as humans. I'm sorry, but no animals life has as much importance or relevance as that of a human. For one to think that an animals life is just as important as his own is absurd. Can anyone possibly believe that the life of a pig, cow, or chicken can even compare to the life of a human being?”

How do you feel about this? Does an animal's interest in living have any weight in our deciding how we treat said animal? How is an animal's interest in continued existence qualitatively any different than our own?

I'm not trying to give Nice Guy a hard time, I just think this is something that should be discussed, and his answer provides a good starting point.

An old friend who is a homeless bum (the last 10 years ) has been taking advantage of another friend for the last few years. He has been staying in her garage and won't leave. He helps her out now and then but has gotten irrational with her several times. He has needed rehab longer than me and I've been sober almost 9 years. I've suggested a restraining order but she is quite afraid of what he may do next . I have stayed away from hime for almost 5 years now for my own sanity. I am just like him so I know that it is a volital situation. I feel guilty not being able to help my other friend because I introduced them . Should I continue to stay out if it ? I would get a restraining order but she is afraid to and I can't do it for her . Any ideas ?

When I click some filles, I am told that Windows (I have XP) cannot open them.I have the option of going online or telling them which program to use.I do not have internet where I live yet; and when I suggest a program, the file still does not open.Why? What can I do? I created the document on my computer using Word or Publisher so why is it that I cannot open it when I need to use it?

Have we not learned yet from prior experiences with North Korea? This country has blackmailed the US and other countries for years since the korean conflict!
Here we go again giving them billions in crude oil and without doubt, other concessions until the fire flares again! Then, North Korea will resume nuclear activity or whatever illiciet activity it can until we break down and give them more!
It's time to stop wasting tax payers money on this rouge nation that is governed by a tyrant capable of just about anything! He makes Saddam Hussein look like a boy scout!
Everything remains in tact and they will do this time after time unless we demand that the entire nuclear program and all it's facilities are destroyed! It would assure us that we would never be in immediate danger of any attacks from this ruthless dictator!
