She just came to live with him last summer. While with her mom, she was into drugs and way behind in school. Her mom was more interested in her own drugs and boyfriends. So this girl started off pretty good, she kept up with homework, she took classes to be a CNA and has a job on weekends and after school. But her dad is self-employed but not very motivated, never has money. He lives with his parents and doesn't have a home for her, although she has a room at his parents, but she stays with this 26 yr old guy that she says is "just a friend". His house is a drug house. Her dad is a very passive guy and doesn't know how to handle a 16 year old in this situation. He's afraid if he says something then she'll want to go back and live with her mom. He blames it all on her mom, but I think he's giving up and should try. We're in a very small area with little resources. I haven't ever talked to him much about his daughter and the situation even though he's a very close friend. Help!

it's really sad to see that this young impressionable girl is pretty much stuck in a family where neither of her parents want to do what it takes to be a parent. honestly, she'd be better off in foster care. that's where she's headed anyway.

i'm 25 and characteristic 2 boys so I dont comprehend first hand what you're dealing with, yet i'm able to allow you to comprehend that I placed my mom by all of that, except for the actual shown truth that I didnt have all the textile stuff that she has. Do you and her father have a employer- like relationship, or do you argue and factor hands at one yet another? per chance thats the starting up, teenagehood is tricky and theres alot of peerpressure by acquaintances. evidently she latched on to the incorrect human beings for help as a replace of confiding in you. She has also tried to administration between you and your ex. that is the position your relationship with him should be as a crew i imagine. enable her comprehend that yoiu will provide her her area, and she wont be in hassle for telling you the reality about stuff.. i became continually afraid to search for suggestion from from my mom because she not at all listened, she in simple terms all started overreacting and grounding me earlier i ought to tell her what became occurring. My mom went so a recommendations as to deliver me to a foster residing house. Take her to counceling and get her right into a interest, locate out what truly intriques her and incourage her. moms and dads frequently see unfavorable earlier effective.

First thing to do is bring this subject up to him for open discussion. You can not help him with out talking to him. Blaming hes ex is not the reason. He has control and should take control of his daughter. Fist thing to do is call the police on this 26yr old man. His daughter is underage. He need to get a little back bone or put his daughter in a home.Sounds like he has no interest in his daughter well being. And is blaming his ex for his lack of care and guidance he should instill in his daughter.

Even in small or rural areas there are agencies that will help free of charge. Have him contact one of the local churches. They will know where those resources are and how to apply for them. Good luck to your friend. And thank you for caring.

Ask him if there is anything you can do. If he says yes, then do it. If he says no then you are out of luck. Call the cops if you want.
