I think the best shape sunglasses for a round face are small rectangle sunglasses. I have a round face and I get a lot of compliments on my sunglasses. Try on a pair, I got mine at Lenscrafters :)

Got a round face? Round = definitely not angular, symmetrical in shape, round and soft. Big time rule here: never wear round frames. You will the round face want to minimize face fullness, further define your face and give it more interest. What can you choose? Angular frames. Angular = in the rectangle family (rectangles, octagons.) These long lines will create an illusion that thins the face. Lengthen your face by choosing temples that place higher up. Color placement also proves to be key as well when dressing a round face. Why? You further define your round head with classic patterns and darker colors. Try to keep most of the color on the upper rim (go semi-rimless if possible). If you must have a bit of bling, keep it to the temple area. If your eyes are particularly close-set, always choose a clear bridge. We'll shut up now, enough rules!

For a round face, I'd have to say square sunglasses are the best. They make your face look thinner and bring out your features.

most of the time you should go for a pair that's squarish or rectangular. they should also be big- but not so big they cover half your face. in some cases, you should be careful of the color too. if you have an orangish tint, you usually shouldn't wear white glasses. they produce way too much contrast between your skin color and the glasses. if you don't like big, square sunglasses, then pick a day that you have lots of time, go to a sunglasses shop, and spend your day looking for the perfect pair! but most people are too busy to do that.

The larger style sunglasses work well. Don't try round frames, they'll only accentuate the shape of your face. Go for rectangular, wide frames.

i have a round face and my style doesnt call for a rec. or squ. shape sunglasses. ive always had to wear to what i felt comfortable with. it will take me hours to find the perfect type. ive been comfortable with cat eyzze glasses or half moon. the color is also difficult. just remember when you try them on or think about buying a pair. have a friend or family member help you out. they see you all the time, they know what it looks like from outside of the box. hope i was of help. :^P

Round
A round face has curvilinear lines with the width and length in the same proportions and no angles. To make the face appear thinner and longer, try angular narrow eyeglass frames to lengthen the face, a clear bridge that widens the eyes and frames that are wider than they are deep, such as a rectangular shape.

The aviator style in almost any size small to large.Medium to large is probably best (in this year). Also a wide rectangle -with the width wider than the height..in a little bit of a large size are pretty and flattering.Wide silver rims or a lavender or a lightish blue maybe brown tortoise, look pretty on a round face in large sizes.Be sure to get UV protection.
