I need some major help! I just bought 3 new goldfish on Friday and they are in a tiny bowl. = ( I bought an aquarium yesterday and put the chemical stuff in it. The boy at the pet store told me that I couldn't put the fish in for a whole day. I want to put in all 3. Can I do that today or not? Please someone help me. They look so lonely in there!!!

I'm having a friendly disagreement with my in-laws. My father-in-law was a 20 year "lifer" in the US Air Force. He says that haggling with someone over the price of a good or service is not worth the time and is rude. He and my mother-in-law always talk about how for the first few years they were married they lived in military housing without any furniture or a car.
My dad spent 8 years in the Army before he married my mom. My parents had a combined income of less than $30,000 for most of childhood. If we needed something major my dad would haggle like an arab trader and/or come up with some type of barter arangement for a used item. We were rarely without 2 old but decent vehicles, owned our own home and a collection of second-hand yet tasteful furniture. We rarely received any assistance from the goverment.
Who's in the wrong here? My in-laws say I'm kind of being a jerk when I wheel and deal for large purchases. I say they suffered because they were afraid to make a little noise.

Last week we were treated to a new exposé of just how fraudulent and shallow and meaningless ''Support Our Troops'' is on the lips of those in charge of spending the half a trillion dollars of taxpayers' money that the Pentagon eats every year.

The Washington Post published an exposé, complete with photographs, revealing that for every inpatient who's getting the best medical treatment that money can buy at the main hospital at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, there are 17 outpatients warehoused in quarters unfit for human habitation.

Some of the military outpatients are stuck on the Walter Reed campus, a couple of miles from the White House and the Capitol, for as long as 12 months. They've been living in rat and roach-infested rooms, some of which are coated in black mold.

I am not trying to be an ***, I am just looking for other peoples opinions. Here we go, why is it ok for blacks to were t-shirts that say black panthers, Mexicans to were shirts that say brown pride, Asian's, Koreans, Chinese, Vietnameese ect. to were shirts that are writting in there native tounge but you let a white person were shirt that says white pride or a confederate flag and everyone flips out?

I'm flying for the first time out of Charlotte to DC via US Airways. I'm not checking any luggage and want everything in my carry-on. I'm also taking a laptop and bag. I understand the liquids and gels have to be in quart size ziploc bag. What about prescriptions meds? Do they have to be in this ziploc bag? Razors? Toothbrushes? Hairbrushes? My digital camera, ac cords for camera and laptop? I'm just a newbie and want the security check to be quick and easy and I don't want to irriate the security with questions or look stupid cause I don't know what I'm doing.

Want to hear from people who have done this, or know someone who has. How difficult it was, how expensive, how is it holding up?
My plan is to rip the laminate off exsisting countertops and work with that as far as putting on granite.
