i have had my puppy for 4 days hes very good at night but if left alone at all during the day even for me to go into the garden he goes crazy barking and howling. any ideas how to settle him pls?

My little biter student 2.6yrs loves to bite any unsuspecting child, Provoked or not. I can't watch every move he makes. I try giving him teething toys but it seems the other kids are tastier. I need some fresh ideas to divert his attention.

In a system where people only have one vote, they often wish they could have voted for the party they wanted most, but feel they had to vote for one of the top two instead.

How about the Triangular Ballot alternative? It ensures each winning MP receives some support & backing from an absolute majority of voters, how?
In Line One the voter ticks either the Labour or Conservative box;
In Line Two, he chooses between Labur & Lib Dem;
In Line Three, he can choose between the Lib Dem & Tory candidates.
And in Line Four, he writes the three letter code of one of the 40-100 other parties (a full lamented list of all these is available at each booth, along with 20 mission statement words from each).

The winner has beaten both main alternatives outright.
The second place (won 1, lost 1) and the party getting the most Line 4 votes will be main opponents of the winner at the next election.
The party that has lost against the second placed party, falls into the Line 4 list.

My dog was acting fine and all of a sudden vomited up a bone piece from what he was gnawing on last night. The bone piece was intact with red mucus. The mucus is normal for him (but usually clear) when he vomits on occasion after he eats something he shouldn't but should I take him in to vet as it could be blood? Could he just have minimally tore something and it will heal itself? He is not acting any different than normal, no labored breathing, just laying on the floor by him like usual. Should I just watch for signs? Help! Thanks, Amanda

If you lose a pet, is there a one call hotline you can call to alert pounds and research facilities to be "watching" for a pet of that description.

A few years back we had a rash of "missing" pets and there was a rumor that a research facility was buying them. Do they actually do this? And shouldn't they know that almost every pet they buy this way is going to be stolen?

It just made me wonder if they have any kind of screening or alert system to watch for stolen animals?
