My ex-mother-in-law just left. I am staying in my ex-husband's house to take care of our daughter since he moved to another state due to job reasons. I live in another state.

My ex-mother-in-law made some comments to me that made me feel very sad.

She said that if I go back, I will have to look for someone again and how do I know what type of person they will be. I think that if I am alone its okay. I can be busy with my career and outside activities.

She also said that the only two problems that her son has are anger and that he likes to control. These are not big problems in her eyes.

She said that I will lose control of my child when she goes to college. She said that she still has control over her three children.

How do I react to these statements?

According to CARM ( Christian Apologetics Research Ministry ) it is their underlying belief of faith that :

Do you think that having this as a staring point in their " research " equips them to come to honest and open conclusions based on logic and reason ?

Hey, does anyone know where I can find the script or song lyrics to the 1980's version of The Return of the King? That's that animated one. I've been looking for hours and I can't find it. But I was able to find the script to the hobbit really easily. Any help you guys can offer will be greatly appreciated, thanks.


P.S. For those who didn't know, they ARE filming a live action version of the Hobbit, it's due to come out in 2009.

My ex went off the rails four months later an tried to comit suicide so i got my daughter who was 1 an a half at time.She sees her once every week if shes lucky and always claims to have no money to help support her.This i dont mind to much but its the thought of her trying to get her back.I got my ex to write a letter saying that she is my care but is that enough??? My 9 year old sons 8 year old bestfriend.Appearently has never been taught the approiate way to behave in others homes.I need a diplomatic way to ask her parents to explain that we have different ways we act in our home.Her parents are nice people but the set no limmitse with her.They let her pretty much trash the place.Because they are the kind that don't care if she draws on the walls or spills food on the carpet.Because they don't own their home they rent and when they trash the house they are in they move on to a diffirent one.I teach my son to have respect always regardless weather it is in our home our anywere else.I love this little girl like she is my own.But I can't put up with it much longer.Today I caught her banging on my $3,000 big screen hd flat panel television.Like it was a drum.A few hours before that she used my new jeep to stop her scooter instead of her breaks and scratched it.She does things like this all the time.Please help me figure out how to talk to her parent

Is it arogant to use this term to refer to those who do not believe as you? I have seen this used to refer to Atheists and those who are not Xian, I would have to conclude that it is being used in a degrading way.
But would it not also apply to creationist, who do not believe as many sciences have proved our evolution? Are they not the true "Unbelievers"?

I'm trying to solve this problem sec x = -5
I know you have to find the inverse sec of 5 which is 78.5
so you get for x 78.5 and 258.5 but how do you do it in the calculator
I know secant is 1/cos but what is sec^-1 in the calculator?

I recently bought a really cute pair of pumps. I tried on two sizes because I never know which one is going to fit. Well, the bigger ones felt a little too big because they were flopping on my heel a little and they are a peep-toe so I didn't think the toe looked as good. So I bought the smaller size. They fit but they pinch my feet a little. But I just HAD to buy them. Does anyone know a way to stretch them out just a little so they don't hurt my feet?
