A book about a little boy who was MONSTROUSLY abused. I don't know if a movie was made.
Don't read this book if you're the "emotional" type... it's a tough read.

The second book is: THE LOST BOY
Third book is: A MAN NAMED DAVE
Last book I know of is: DAVE PELZER ---HELP YOURSELF
This book explains how we can move beyound a painful history, harmful negative thoughts, and inumerable setbacks by taking control & being accountable for our lives.
I think the help yourself book might help you but you would really need to read to understand what Dave's life was like.

it's a book where the author went through a horrible childhood and almost died on several occasions it is a very sad book and there is also a part two of the book but i can't remember the name sorry

It's a book based on the author, Dave Pelzer's childhood. It turned out to be California's 3rd worst ever child abuse case.

It's a book.. and an excellent one .. you should read it.. it's a real page turner.
Its about this boy who is treated horribly by his mother.. she kind of targets him b/c he has siblings, but she is kind to the other children.
