Is Zone Alarm Pro really better than the free Zone Alarm Firewall?

Question

i have the free one, but the pro version seems alot better, is it really worth the money?(or the time to download on Limewire?)
also is the internet security suite even better than the pro version!!?

First, I will swear by Zone Alarm as being the best firewall out there and wouldn't run a computer without it. That said, I tried their full security suite and I wasn't a huge fan of it....too much was slipping by that I felt it should have caught by an anti-virus program. Luckily other programs caught stuff, but it always concerned me what was making it on, so I downgraded. Now I run Zone Alarm Pro for a virus scan and a separate anti-virus program. So I would suggest the same combo, be it pro or free firewall.

I can't answer your first question about pro being better than free as I've always run Pro. But I do have a suggestion for you. I would nuke Limewire or any other Kaaza related program. Trust me you need an EXCELLENT virus scan as almost everything on that network is buggy!!! If you want to, um, explore progams prior to purchasing the full version (dang I put that well if I say so myself hehe), I'd highly suggest using the Torrent system. Much more efficient, less bugaboos and far more diversified stuff to download....or so I hear ;) Utorrent is an excellent free program to download with.

And since I see spyware was mentioned I would HIGLY recommend checking out Spyware Doctor. I run several (as unlike anti-virus programs it's fine to use several of these and is smart as some seem to catch what others miss). I almost fainted at how much Spyware Doctor found that the other spyware programs missed.

i tried comodo firewall professional yet now i'm utilizing zonealarm professional because i wasn't felling tender with comodo firewall professional. use zonealarm professional i'm utilizing it and untill no it appeared to artwork o.k. in blocking off hackers and catching spywares

only if you want the antivirus and spyware removal... for that download avast and spybot and have a nice day...
