A quick read of "Why We Believe What We Believe," by Andew Newberg will acquaint you with the neuro-biology of belief, and the idea that believing in something is inescapable.

Further, studies suggest that people who are involved in religious practices are often healthier, happier and longer-lived than those who are without such practices.

There is nothing that suggest that belief in God per se is required. Buddhists, for example are not committed theists, but enjoy the same benefits as theists.

There is no evidence for or against the existence of God that has been shown to be conclusive. There may be a God, there may not.

You can choose to believe in God, and become involved in a church, which will give you a great deal of support and a sense of community. These things can lead to a much more healthy and happy lifestyle.

There's the information. The choice is yours.

God gave his own life for all those people in the world....the "good", bad, and the ones who just plain refused him. As the bible says, he is coming back one day to take the true, born-again christians to heaven with him. The non-believers will be left behind! God is giving you the time to receieve him before he comes,....The ones that are left will suffer, die (later try to kill themselves but won't be able to)...I'm begging to do what is right. You will have nothing to lose! Accept him, and you will be blessed. I'll be praying.

What do you have to lose by believing in God?

In my opinion, the only reason to believe in God is if you have a subjective, personal intuition that God exists.

Most other reasons -- Pascal's wager, for example, or "I'd better do it just in case" -- are dishonest and possibly dishonorable, as far as I'm concerned.

Only you can find the answer to that....We all believe what we believe for different reasons....Letting someone else tell the answer to that is like how so many of us grew believing just because our parenta and grandparents ect did.....you need to be able to tell people why YOU believe something not just spout off what others have told you....get outt here and such for the answers within yourself.

Goto www.evilbible.com then tell me if you want to believe in God (at least the Christian God)

Hey Chris:
The moral of your little story is still biased on fear...fear of eternal damnation... this is no reason to believe in something. If your were to read a history book you will see how your religion was developed to control, scare and keep ppl ignorant so those in power could keep that power....

And I don't know what your talking about partying...be a good bible thumper and keep believing your lies.

A Wise Man Once Said,

" if i choose to believe in God and there is one, then i would have wasted eighty years of partying for eternal life. if there is no God yet i choose to believe in Him, then I would have wasted eighty years of partying when in the end it won't matter anyway because i'll ciese to exist. if there is a God and i choose not to believe in Him, then i will have gained eighty years of partying, only to also gain eternal punsihment, if there is no God, and i don't believe in Him, then i will have eighty years of partying only to die and then nothing, so it wouldn't have mattered."

So all I am saying is it is worth it to believe in God~ Chris

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

John 17:3- this means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the ONLY true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
Believing in God is one thing, it takes faith and obedience in KNOWING God. As the scripture says, "taking in knowledge" is how you can get to know God and believe in Him
