I just had my baby on 2/20th. She was given some ready to feed Similac formula at the hospital, but I also recieved a big canister of Similac powdered formula as a gift from some relatives. For the powdered stuff I will need to mix it with water and what I've been doing is boiling water, then letting it cool to room temperature before mixing it w/ the powder in the bottle. I stored the rest of the cooled/boiled water in pitchers in the fridge. How long is this water good for? Or should I boil a new batch every day? Also, just wondering about the tap water, some replied the other day saying that they use plain warm tap water to prepare their babies bottles. Is this really safe for newborns? I'll probably just go ahead and keep boiling my babies water just to be safe but was just curious about how many of u actually did use water straight from the tap for your newborns.

Been renting 7yrs. Timely payments. House has ice on inside of windows. Have to wear hats/gloves inside. Landlord said would fix, then said we have to move out. Housing inspector came, waiting for paperwork. What do I do if house is condemned? Do I have to let landlord/repairmen in if I'm being evicted? Rent is coming up, do I pay? Escrow? What do I do if eviction will leave me homeless? Spent all money on extremely high heating costs that went out faulty windows/doors. Landlord supposed to do walk-thru once yr p/lease, never did.

I am a graduate student and an employee at an on-campus organization where I am a student writer. I am also the editor of a newsletter that we publish. However, there is a know-it-all full-time employee who keeps trying to butt into the newsletter by trying to edit it (although she isn't even a staff member). Today, while I was teaching a class, she went to my desk and took a copy of the newsletter (the unedited version, I might add) and flipped out on a bunch of people in the office (also making a bunch of edits). She is ridiculous and should not have been taking things from my desk. She is not the editor anyway. What should I do about her? I don't want to be on her bad side since I basically share a workspace with her, but this is ridiculous.
