Been renting 7yrs. Timely payments. House has ice on inside of windows. Have to wear hats/gloves inside. Landlord said would fix, then said we have to move out. Housing inspector came, waiting for paperwork. What do I do if house is condemned? Do I have to let landlord/repairmen in if I'm being evicted? Rent is coming up, do I pay? Escrow? What do I do if eviction will leave me homeless? Spent all money on extremely high heating costs that went out faulty windows/doors. Landlord supposed to do walk-thru once yr p/lease, never did.

If the house is not fit to live in the landlord can be served with a compulsory repair order. If eviction is ongoing you really need specialist housing advice from the citizens advice bureau. Go to your doctors to back up any illness caused by the disrepair, and keep photographs and any letters sent to the landlord and any other paperwork to do with this matter. If the property is is condemed, you will have to be re-housed as an emergency homeless person.

Whatever you do do not withhold your rent as this will cause problems if you need to apply to the local housing authority for assistance as a homeless person.

If the landlord has served you with a section 21 notice, you should visit your local housing department.

If your landlord has not served you with a notice then you need to follow the disrepair pre-action protocol.

Draft letters and guidance can be found at the department for constitutional affairs website.

Are you in the UK or USA? If you are in the UK go to Social Services and see what they can do to help or to Citizens Advice Bureau. If its the USA I am sorry I dont know. If you have a rent book (and you should have because it is illegal for you not to have one) he cannot throw you out. You should have a contract and go according to that. If the house is condemned and you are in England I think you would probably be put on an emergency list for somewhere to live.

You need to contact an attorney who specializes in Rental Laws in your state/province/country. Most attornies these days will at least give you a free consult.

You may be due back-rent for the time the property was not maintained, and you may be due additional damages for your ongoing problems (and future problems from the mold infestation.)

As Renter's Rights vary from location to location, you really need to contact an attorney now!

If you don't move out, your landlord has to get a court order to try and move you out. Make a list of your grievencies to give to the court and these will be taken into consideration. Things could well backfire on your landlord.

I think the housing inspector is saying that its not suitable for living, and i think you should contact him and he will probably guide you how to get council accomodation,
