Intelligent subject matter is not a hallmark of the political section on Yahoo Answers. It should be, but there are too many people interested simply in bashing the other side. Such is the nature of an open forum. I try to give well thought responses to most questions and I look for the same. The real trick here is not to let yourself be baited into the immature playground antics that so many seem to favor. As to censoring content, I don't believe that they should censor anything except highly inflammatory, dangerous, or extremely insulting material.

Human nature dictates that we are good at creating tension, and stress, and arguments, and so forth...but some people are not as smart as others. Like for example, I ask a question about anything I am thinking (I do not let conformity stop me) and some questions I get a lot of negative feedback and others mostly negative feedback with a couple people who share different opinions than me, but still manage to remain civil. That is what answers needs...people to be civil. If some idiot is having a bad day at work and hasn´t had sex with his wife for awhile, they are just looking for a fight to pick and in actuality are just acting juvenile, to say the best. Love and Respect.

I doubt that will happen--just as I doubt it will happen in
'Religion and Spirituality." I believe it does have something to do with our First Amendment right to freedom of speech and the press.

Keep reporting the redundant clown--I'm sure he or she is reporting you. At some point, Yahoo! staff needs to go through these questions and answers.

I'd love to be able to actually debate someone real time on here, like fasc, but I do enjoy proding the left.

It's politics - everyone has an idea and everyone thinks they are right. There is no debating here. Also, it's easier to write what you think than to say it out loud to someone's face.

The principal benefit of democracy is that everyone gets to be involved, at whatever level of commitment they want.

The principal drawback of democracy is that everyone gets to be involved, at whatever level of commitment they want.

Perhaps you would be more comfortable in an autocratic environment.

i think a sense of humor is a must although you may not feel humor to be an essential in life, im not partial to your needs or mine as i am sure, though, that if they come for the humor then let it be!

Sorry, but yahoo is a bastion for trolls. If you post something intellegent, they give you a thumbs down. If you post something conservative on a liberal question, you wont get chosen for the best answer, even if you are right.

The best thing to do is ignore the ignorant, and report anyone who is breaking the rules.
