Be it defence purchases, petrol pump allotments, bank mergers, land dereservations, land allotments, land take overs, project approvals,
public service appointments and others whatever you name it, everything is put on the scale of incentives for the decision maker.

Likewise, people in public life like films stars, cricketers and in media behave as if they come from different planet. They need more than their share of fortune, which of course come from undercutting others, those who need them badly. Can some one explain the need for a film star who declared in his wealth that he possesses 80 cars. Likewise can any body explain if a prostitute offers her body she is socially stigmatised. While the leading ladies in film and model industries show their assets to earn more money, they turn goddesses.

I started writing something almost two years ago and so many people who read the little bit were impressed and ready to see the rest of the story. Unfortunately I got writers block and can't think of what else to do to the story without ruining the thing. Has this ever happened to you? How did you cure yourself and start writing again?

I'm using some audio programs and they suggest I turn off things like "msmsgs" from running, when I start my computer. I also noticed things running in Services. If they are turned off at startup, will I still be able to use them when I want to?

And if it's something I can fix, do I have to ground myself? How?
If I want to stop this loud gargling noise, I've just lifted the front about a 1/2" and gently dropped it, and the noise stops....might take 2-3 drops (very gently!).
Can I stop it somehow without taking the cover off?
ALSO, I never shut off, I've scheduled updates to run during the night. Have a good antivirus/and firewall/and anti-spyware. So I sleep well knowing that nothing will tear into my computer. But this noise often wakes me up (light sleeper).

As a math lover and an Aspie, I appreciate accuracy in speech and thought. Recently I've noticed my clients refer to intermediate algebra as "precalculus". Sometimes they drop the "pre" and say they're in "calculus". Apparently the courses have begun introducing a few concepts of calculus, such as the difference quotient, into algebra, thus justifying the name.
Is calling it "precalculus" supposed to make the students buckle down and really learn algebra, so that they will be ready for calculus? Or does it just intimidate them, since they've always heard how hard calculus is? Do the students actually believe they're in "calculus"? Does calling it "precalculus" really motovate them to master algebra so that they will be ready for real calculus? When and why did they start calling it "precalculus"? Who started this misnomer? Could it be because "algebra" is an Arabic word and we're currently at war in the mideast?
