Some times things do not go the way we want them to. I know you want a pet, but you have to understand what a big responsibility a pet is. I know you will take care of it when you can, but you are a busy Young lady and will be gone a lot. Mom is busy and has a lot to do and may not be able to watch over the pet while you are gone to school. As for friends, they are out there and they will find you. Make good choices and good luck, you will make a good friend for some lucky people.

Hi hi there person,
I can really sense the pain you are feeling right now. Despite what others my say, depression can happen at any age and each person responds differently to situations in life. It's very difficult when you don't have friends to hang out with or talk to it does become lonely and depressing. Have you talked to a school counsellor or nurse about feeling depressed? these are safe people you can trust and you don't have to feel embarrassed to go and talk with them, they can help you.
In regards to your mom not allowing you to get a pet, there may be away around this problem. What do you think about volunteering at an animal shelter, or helping the people who do the pet adoptions on the weekend at Petco or any other pet shop?. Not only will this make you feel good but it will show your mom you can handle the responsibility of owning a pet. However, don't expect that to happen for a while it's going to take time, but be patient.
Please do make the effort on Monday when you go to school to make contact with the counsellor or nurse about how depressed you have been feeling, you will be glad that you did. I hope you start feeling better. Take Care!
Sincerely,
Alice H.

Depression is a medical problem. the chemicals in your brain are not balanced . you need to talk to a doctor or your school nurse. depression can happen at any age, so don't listen to these people who tell you that you are too young. I have been diagnosed with depression and the first time i can remember being depressed was when i was in the 6th grade. there IS a difference between being sad and being depressed. only a doctor can tell you for sure. And if you are depressed and get help you will find that you will make more friends and have more fun because you are feeling better. if things get really bad you can call 911 and tell them that you need help. they will take you to a hospital.

Sweetie you aren't to young to think you are depressed but you probably feel really sad right now. If it's only because you can't have a pet, well you gotta do what Mom says. My kids didn't get alot of things they wanted. If you really feel this down talk to parents. Or if you don't want to tell them talk to someone older in your family that you are close too and trust. And last talk to your teacher or an adult at school you like. You are young, I'd hate to see you so down . It's no fun even when you are older.

You don't have ONE friend? When you go to school don't you talk to anyone? Aren't there kids your age in your neighborhood?
You need to be friendly, talk to people, find something in common with them. That is how you make friends. You need to make an effort, people just won't ring your door bell and ask you to be a friend!
Getting a pet can be tricky. If you tell her you will take full responsibility (clean cage, walk, feed, etc.) maybe she will reconsider. Whether she does or not, that should not determine your mood.
I suggest you find something to do, hobby or sport to get involved with at school. You may have too much time on your hands to do nothing constructive and that will make you unhappy pretty fast.

Talk to your parents, or someone else you trust if you don't think you can talk to your parents. Here are some ideas: teacher, friend's parents, aunts/uncles, clergy. Adults are around to help you - even if we seem unapproachable. You can also look up depression in your yellow pages and there might be a number you can call.
Tomorrow, go out and spend some time in the sunshine, it may help make you feel a bit better!

You really need to talk to your parents, a friend, someone you really trust or a priest. You are very young but you need to tell someone what your feeling. It may not be depression but you need to find out. Don't be afraid or ashamed to talk to someone.
Go to a parent or call a friend, it will make you feel better. Do it now.

Hey there,
I'm sorry to hear that you are depressed. You could try telling a parent how you have been feeling. If you'd rather not do that, I would recommend that you go and talk to a counselor at your school. That's their job, and they're always willing to help!
I hope you feel better soon!

any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer.
Your prayer is from your heart. Further You must have to understood the fact that God is present in our heart. This can be realised in meditation. Further we are the creation of our own destiny. As per Hindu sacred religion, we carry all good and bad deeds life after life. There is no end unless we pray for unification of self with the divineliness.
Hence there is always a possible way to complete mergence with God in this life by a simple and wonderful meditation
