if there's anyone here from san francisco, i'd love to find a recipe that is similar to the marinade used at asqew (the restaurant with all the skewered food).

if not, just a really good marinade for tofu. also, i drained and froze my tofu - should i thaw it before marinating it, or just put it in the fridge with the marinade on it for a day to thaw?

i've cooked with tofu lots before, but my wife is really picky about tofu, but loved the stuff from asqew, so i'm trying to replicate it as best i can!

I live in Michigan and am strongly considering moving to Maryland in September when my lease is up. So far I have managed to save up about $1500 in savings plus a couple of more hundred in checking. When I move I plan to transfer jobs so that I will have a job when I get their and then search for something better once I am in the state.
My bestfriend lives in Baltimore, where I plan on moving to and has told me that I can live with her until I land on my feet. I am trying not to live with her at all because she is very sweet and nice and is my bestfriend, but she has rats and roaches in her house.
How can I go about getting an apartment lined up and exactly how much money should I have saved? I want to make this transition as smoothly as possible.

I think my fiance is doing and/or selling meth. We have no money, yet he makes about $25 an hour. With the little bit that I bring home from my part time job, that should be well enough to pay our bills. He lies about where he is going all the time. He also lies about who calls him. Last night he said his brother called, yet when I checked later (yes, frown, I have not trust left) it was not his brother he was talking to, it was a guy who I know is on meth. Anyways, I know there is something fishy going on, but what can I do? He denies that he has anything to do with it, but I know thats not true. Can I call a cop, or someone, and not get myself in trouble. I've known for a long time that something strange is going on, so will I get in any trouble with the law, too? I want to give the authorities all the phone numbers he calls, and that call him, and see what they can do. Will this be a stupid move? Has anyone been here before? Please be serious.

Been married for 13 yrs and find I sometimes hate my spouse. He is very controlling and demanding when it comes to money. I want to work our finances seperately, so I am only answerable to me. He wants to control it all and make me account to him for every penny that I make. We have tried all kinds of compromises, but it always comes back to him asking me questions I dont want to deal with. Should I give up? I thought of it several times, but always am afraid I can't make it on my own, and that the kids (7yrs and 9yrs) will be through too much in a divorce. I know he won't just let me take them and leave me alone. He would still try to control me out of the relationship. So, is it worth it to leave, when I dont really want to be there anymore? Of course, I know I have to figure it out myself in the end, but I would like everyone's advice and opinions...
