i do not, nor have i ever, used credit cards. i do not use a bank. my husband has been out of work since november. he can not find anything that would support us and our two small children. we have hospital bills, outstanding power bills, cable bills, we have almost 16,000 worth of his student loans for college that he didn't ge to finish b/c he ran out of money and had to drop out. i got 2 tickets last month for not having insurance or a tag (it was at a mandatory checkpoint). i cant count all of our bills. he had a great job lined up to start on monday and we got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that his job offer has been withdrawn b/c of a bad driving record (2 tickets in the last 4 years). our tax refund, which would have been almost 6000 was taken from us by the dept. of education for his student loan. it would have gotten us back on our feet until he got a job. what do we do? i'm so depressed. we need help. we have food stamps and F.A. $245 per month - any advice would help

My good friend has a chronic illness for about 18 years and he has suffered occasional relapses for the last three years. Should I advise him to take it easy on himself and manage his expectations (ie. he may not be a high achiever in life).

A stranger was seated next to Little Johnny on the plane when the
stranger turned to the Little Johnny and said, "Let's talk. I've
heard that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation
with
your fellow passenger."

Little Johnny, who had just opened his book, closed it slowly,
and
said to the stranger, "What would you like to discuss?"

"Oh, I don't know," said the stranger. "How about nuclear power?"

"OK," said Little Johnny. "That could be an interesting topic.
But
let
me ask you a question first. "A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat
grass.
The same stuff. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns
out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass.
Why do
you suppose that is?"
"Jeez," said the stranger. "I have no idea."

"Well, then," said Little Johnny, "How is it that you feel
qualified
to
discuss nuclear power when you don't know sh*t?"

I would like your honest suggestions/criticism on how I can improve.
Personally, I would have preferred having more light on the bear's face but our guide told us where to sit, no walking around and it wasn't like I could ask them to pose for me.

Also, I didn't use a tripod (shame on me) because it had been raining for at least two hours and I had all to do but keep my camera dry. The sun finally came out for some of them...

Here is some issues I have with Peta and my views:
1) Peta believes pets should have a vegan diet
THATS RIDICULOUS-As for animals God made them omnivores or carnivores.
They are meant to eat meat. They are not humans and
therefore the proteins and vitamins/minerals they get
from eating meat is very beneficial for them as they
cannot get this type of nutrition anywhere else.
2)PETA is against animal products
Our ancestors survived by hunting for raw meat. They
survived winter conditions because they used animal
furs to keep them warm. And if one of your relatives have a diseased ailment they are getting medications due to animal testing.
3) We are living longer and healthier due to meds.
Animal testing needs to be done on certain products including cosmetics and shampoos to assure safety.
If PETA tells me animal testing is ok for medications
but not for cosmetics or hygeine products then PETA IS A HYPOCRITE!
