Here is some issues I have with Peta and my views:
1) Peta believes pets should have a vegan diet
THATS RIDICULOUS-As for animals God made them omnivores or carnivores.
They are meant to eat meat. They are not humans and
therefore the proteins and vitamins/minerals they get
from eating meat is very beneficial for them as they
cannot get this type of nutrition anywhere else.
2)PETA is against animal products
Our ancestors survived by hunting for raw meat. They
survived winter conditions because they used animal
furs to keep them warm. And if one of your relatives have a diseased ailment they are getting medications due to animal testing.
3) We are living longer and healthier due to meds.
Animal testing needs to be done on certain products including cosmetics and shampoos to assure safety.
If PETA tells me animal testing is ok for medications
but not for cosmetics or hygeine products then PETA IS A HYPOCRITE!

PETA is a hypocritical organization headed by wackjob extraordinaire Ingrid Newkirk followed by delusional idealists. They actually do very little to help animals at all. They also support terrorism and hold the lives of animals above people. The answer above is ridiculous. People die from food poisoning from vegetables and fruits too, not just meat. Last week mushroms were recalled for E. coli contamination and how many died or were sickened from the contaminated spinach. Oh, and PETA KILLS ANIMALS

I agree most people with Peta are Hypocrites. Not all but most.

Dogs and cats are carnivores, and humans are meant to be omnivores. So don't tell me not to eat meat. plus the thing about MAD COW DISEASE, it is transferred through the brain and spinal cord. So don't eat the brain of the cow and If you are so worried about it, chop your own hamburger meat.

Plus PETA supports a legislation that kills dogs because of their breed. Now is that not hypocritical.

Also most of the member of PETA are extremest and will pull some stupid stunts that will get some one hurt. Like setting horses lose at a horse show.

I don't agree with most animal testing. I think animals should aways be treated humanely but there better was to go about getting something done.

Did you know that when an animal is slaughtered over 90% of it is used?

i've NEVER heard PETA say that animal testing is fine for medicine. think... if the meds are for people and animals being a different species, how relevant is the animal testing to humans. consider all the meds that have been recalled in the past 3 years. as for the fur, leather, meat, are we neanderthal? there are many synthetics that are just as warm and durable. the morning star products are great. i'm vegetarian. i don't expect everyone to be. i don't try to push my beliefs upon people either. when the average person dies, the autopsy is done and in the colon is about 10-15 lbs. of animal meat. i know, you're probably thinking, but i'm dead who cares. think...you were carrying that around for how long? as for pets with vegan diets, once again, i impose my belief upon nobody. my dog eats regular dog food. are we really living healthier because of meds? are we just treating the symptoms and not the actual problem? in reality i think we could learn a lot from certain cultures, those who treat the body as a whole instead of just the ailment. the statement that Peta is hypocritical would be disproved if you read the website thoroughly. you seem to be on a little rant, could it be MAD COW DISEASE?lol

I agree with you to a point.

1) Dogs are CARNIVORES, I also think that even though a dog really couldn't say anything about it, that the dog should be the one choosing to be a vegan or not. Now, just because your a vegan doesn't mean you should force your dog to be also. Only commercial pet food companies use sick animals for their food, and since your the one buying it, it's mainly your fault. It's called 4-D meats. Search it.

2. Yes, but as somebody else mentioned, we don't have to do that anymore as we have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with plenty of other non-meat products.

3. I don't like animal testing, but I do admit that I approve of it as long as it's for medication. Tobacco companies along with companies that make beauty products should be testing on them selves. Humans die from smoking even if you don't test on them, so what's the difference?

PETA is just a bunch of wanna be or use to be celebrities like Pamela Anderson who don't eat any ways- meat or veggies and care more about trying silicone out on animals so their **** and butt can look bigger. They don't care about animals- they just like to cause a scene, since it's really the only time the camera is focused on them. The truth is they want what works for them- for diet pills and botox to be tested on animals along with their precious make-up so they can use it...but they want to sit and bash people who eat meat or feed their dogs and cats meat products.
That's gay- its like them starting a protest against cats and dogs catching mice and rodents. OR a protest against the zoo's feeding their wild cats, bears, and gators...even though they insist on posing naked with these animals on several occasions.

All PETA is after is your hard earned dollar. They don't use your money to actually help any animal. They kill 90% of the animals that they make a big show of rescuing..

They are homeland terrorists..

PETA is right.
1. Animals like cats and dogs should be on a vegan diet because we treat them like are kids. Plus the meat in pet food, is meat from animals who are sick.
2. We used to survive by hunting animals, but nowadays we don't have to do anything to get are food. Plus people die each year from consuming dirty meat. Did you know on chicken there is poop on it?
3. Things like shampoos and stuff can be tested on humans. We shouldn't have to test on a poor rabbit. It's okay for medications for serious dieases , because without some meds people can go crazy and die. So it's very important that we need meds.

1)Dogs can survive perfectly on a vegan diet, the oldest dog in the world was a vegan dog(22 year old boarder collie in ausrtalia, vegan pet foods come supplemented with everthing they need). Also, dogs and cats can get mad cow disease,so you are protecting them/And they put the worst types of meats in animal foods(downer cows, animals not approved for human consumption, filled with hormones and antibiotics)

2)We are no longer cavemen and we can live without meat perfectly fine.

3)Meds are aimed at curing diseases, not preventing them.Prevention is the best medication, and do we really need another hairspray on the market? They can also create syntthetic human tissue to test reactions, allergens. Most tests that have resulted in acure are for illnesses that animals can naturally get, like diebetes. But they can't get breast cancer,so they are trying to put breast cancer into animals when it wouldn't happen naturally.if we relied on animals for testing smoking would not cause cancers(rats don't get cancers from smoking).Since at least 70,000 people, yes that is SEVENTY THOUSAND die every year in the UK and over 100,000 in the US, (American Medical Association, 1998), all from medical drugs tested and passed through animal research, and at least 1 in 10 beds is taken up with people dying from animal tested drugs, I believe the public should be told the truth about vivisection - that it kills both people and animals..There was a good video on this subject callled Animal testing-Good science or pointless cruelty.this is a different video though-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4UY-8kj6go
