I am driving downhill in the third gear. I change the gear to neutral, thus increasing the speed of my car. As soon as I reach at the end of the slope, I change my gear back into third gear. My car runs well without any problems. Will such kind of a drving practice cause damage to my car in the long run?

They say psychics are not real. They are evil.
The bible says to stay away from psychics so doens't that mean that there actually are psychics? Also there is SO MUCH PROPHECY in the bible and some church people claim to have this as a gift well then which is it? Evil or not? Don't christians need to realize that saying it's not true they contradict the bible?

was to my own parents and for never once thinking of them as individuals who at one point in time had their own hopes/aspirations etc which they put on hold/gave up for us kids.. worked long hours, struggled with cash etc yet at the time we felt hard done by and took them for granted.. now if I'm honest part of me now selfishly feels sad that my life in the respect of it being set in stone is over, I am the mother now (2 a fab 2 year old) and I think given what my parents went through I imagine the same long montony and ungrateful/materialistic kids at the end of it.. maybe it is part of the next stage of growing up? All of a sudden I feel like the grown up (at age 30!?).. then I feel sad on my daughter's part, I do all possibly can for her but I feel so worried that she too will have the same heartaches/tribulations that we all did and so am intensley worried for her. I also feel guilty in that lately family life is not at all how as an outsider looking in I imagined it to be.

This article annoyed me so much.

Apparantly a study has been done on which enthic group makes more progress during school from the age of 11 to 16. I think it was non-British born Indians, Chinese and I can't remember the other one, are making better progress than British born people. Therefore they named the article 'Thick Whites'!

Now if it turned out that, just for example, it was Indian people that made the least progress. They wouldn't call the article 'Thick Indians' would they, because that would be racist!

I'm not really bothered about being called a thick white because I am not thick and I am proud to be white, but its just the principle of it. There would be huge rows and complaints if it wasn't the white people being slated!

Does anyone else think this is rude?!

Saw my midwife yesterday. She measured by Fudal height (sorry i spelt it wrong) and said it was 26(cm?). Im actually 26 weeks to the day, so it was spot on. She said it was fairly unusual to be exact, although a good thing. Has anyone else had this before? I thought I was HUGE and she was going to tell me i was too big!
