They are creatures of grace and majesty. I love dragons with all of my heart and know that they are all under a spell if evil. The only thing strong enough to control a dragon is a spell from a sorceror, and even then, there is not much they can do to keep the spell form fading away. Dragons control themselves and only themselves. Nobody else can take advantage of them unless the dragon says so.

I think dinosaurs are the real dragons. For centuries, people have from time to time stumbled upon the bones of dinosaurs. They recognized the bones as being similar to reptiles, only much larger. Not knowing just how old these bones are, one could reasonably assume that a huge, reptilian creature may be still walking around some place. Only in the past 150 years or so, have scientists spent the time and effort to assemble these bones to get a clearer understanding into the true nature of dinosaurs. Before that, people made their best guess about these bones, and the myth of the dragon was created.

Neutral creatures. In every culture there has to be something do with dragons. From my personnal prospective they where a dinosaur of some sort that actaully survived longer there fellow cousin (dinosaurs) like for example in middle ages back when there where knights and all that sort there where fairy tales of dragons which could have actaully been a dragon of some sort and all other cultures has the same dragon or some sort of lizard in there eveyday fairy tale. And if they where still alive we would treat them or kill them becuase that is how we are knowing what our government does not care about :P

Neutral creatures. They're a victim like the rest of us and I do believe that dragons probably did exist, based upon old tales. They were a form of dinosaur that managed to survive just as the kimono did.

I don't know about personalities or how intelligent they are believed to be, but I DO find it rather interesting that almost every major ancient civilization has had some sort of incarnation of a gigantic reptilian species that coexisted (peacefully or otherwise) with humans. Unicorns, sphinxes, and other such mythological creatures are specific to seperate societies, yet EVERYONE had dragons somehow.
Rather interesting, really....

I think it depends entirely on the dragon. In mythology, dragons are as fickle as people, their personality is unique to the individual. Not only that, there are several variations of dragon depending on which country's mythology you are talking about.
