on the movie "Stigmata" any comments??

If "matt a" had actually paid attention to the premise of the movie he would have realized that in Stigmata, two spirits possess Frankie Paige (PA's character)... Christ and a priest. Both attempt to make it clear that Christ never intended for his religion to become what it is today.

Throughout the movie you hear the line, "Split a piece of wood and I am there. Lift a stone and you will find me." Indicating that the spirit of Christ is all around you. You don't need a big fancy church to follow his teachings. Etc, etc, etc. Blah blah blah.

If you can get past all the Christian stuff it is a very good movie. I thought it was cool, and I'm a pagan. A lot of Catholics were pissed off by it though. The movie itself is kinda creepy, kinda interesting, and pretty good.

I thought it was really good. It was a modern day version of an old story. Great soundtrack too. Patricia Arquette and GABRIEL BYRNE both played the parts really well. A lot of blood involved, but a good fictional storyline none the less.
I liked it anyway.

it's a good movie about stigmata- the spiritual action of having christ's wounds appear on ur body. its a lot about the christian/catholic mythos and the belief in stigmata and the effect it has on people, i'd reccomend watching it. also, check out the order and possibly constantine if you like it.

I kinda liked it at the time..I was always kinda' fascinated by this religious miseries..that Discovery channel proved them to be Fakes...

Now the story is not bad...I liked it..Loved when the actress spoke in Hebraic...
