I'm been pulling at my brain trying to remember exactly how this story goes. I first heard it in a college lit course about 5 years ago- I loved the story- but now can't seem to remember how it goes. Here's all that I can remember( sorry for such terrible detail)-
There was a wife/mother, she had 2 kids. I'm not sure if she took her husbands eyes out so he couldn't see, or if he did that to her. But I think she murdered her two kids--or the husband did. But I remember at the end of the story the wife/mother and the 2 kids ride off in a fire chariot (i think) in the sky.
I know, I know, the details SUCK, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about and can clear up the story, or tell me anything about it, where i can find the story, i'd really really appreciate it!!

I think its 8%. With 2 die 1/12 chance = .083 = 8%
but im not sure when they use the words 2 or 12 so that means 1/6 chance i think which would be 16%. but there is no answer with 16% so im lost. Please help, thanks

I am a senior and have just met with a navy recruiter yesterday.I have yet to meet w/ an airforce recruiter.I hope to go into dentistry.How would I go about doing that?What job should I pick to do?Is it true that in the air force u pick 3 jobs and they give u any of the 3?How often are you allowed to go to school?I am a bit confused.How would I go to college on a ship???Is there time?Would it take me longer than four years to get a predental degree in the navy and air force?If I were to reenlist after four years would I be able to go to dental school and graduate within four years??If I did not reenlist, would I get any assistance for dental school?Which of the two branches have more benefits?Which is better for females?Do u travel in the air force or are you more stationairy?Would u go to college faster? I was wondering if anyone has taken the HPT test, had a negative, took the test apart and found 2 lines? I know when you take the test apart you will have the control line and often a purple-blue line, but have you ever seen 2 pink lines?(or blue depending on which test you use).

I am not looking for rude comments, just want to know from those of us who have wondered about it.

I am currently reading up on how open-ended and closed-ended funds work and in the information i am reading it says:

"liquidity is very poor. The time to buy closed funds is immediately after they are issued. Often the share price drops below the net asset value, thus selling at a discount. A minimum investment of as much as $5000 may apply, and unlike the more common open funds discussed below, there is typically a five-year commitment. "

What does it mean by 5-year comitment and why isnt it as liquid since, if they trade on an exchange dont u just sell them to a buyer..Ahh but i just realized...maybe they're arent any buyers that day.

But what is this 5-year comittment thing mean? Is an investor into a closed-fund stuck with those shares for 5-years before they can sell them?

I ended up finding out when I picked him up from daycare (he told me). I was very angry, and still am, that the teacher did not e-mail or call me to tell me that this had happened. I was very concerned about possible lead poisening...until I looked it up and found that all pencils today are made from graphite. My question is, do you think it is extreme for me to send the teacher an e-mail or call her to tell her that I think I should have been notified when this happened. The other child, I heard, did get sent to the principal's office and I believe his parents were called. I am just really angry about this situation. Am I over-reacting?
