My 'best' friend who i love to bits has previously been through threatened suicide kind of depression she early 30s and says she doesnt expect to make it to her 40th 'because lifes to hard'.
I would usually and have previously when asked dropped what i was doing and gone to meet her when she has wanted to meet because she's having a bad day. Thing is I've had a really bad 3wks i can't complain to her because of her problems (and shes not a great listener), every wk she has something wrong i didnt want to hear about it today, when she text me asking me to meet her i lied and said i was cooking lunch. I would've had to change clothes, i had unwashed hair... Is it really bad that as a bestfriend i lied because i didnt want to hear about her problems AGAIN when i've got my own stuff to deal with even though thats what friends should do?

I met this chick in my college astronomy class and since i didn't speak up when we were looking for lab partners( i looked at her and assumed if she liked me she would do the same) and now not sure of how to start talking to her w/o being to obvious.
I'm gonna see her monday and I was thinking of asking her if she got today's notes, but how do i take it from there?

I am guessing if there is any chemistry, it will bloom from there..but anyone know if this might work or any other ideas?

serious reponses,
thanks.

I.understand there are two kinds of sinus surgery.
1.Antral puncture and washout. Dr. makes a small hole inside the nose and into the maxillary sinus. After drainage is removed, they wash remaining stuff with a syringe.
2.Intranasal antrostomy is used more these days. Cuts a small hole inside the nose into the maxillary sinus. The pus is sucked out.
The difference is: In No.2 the hole is permanant, stays open. No.1 the hole closes up almost immediately, the sinus can become infected and fill up with p. again.

Of the choices, No. 2 lasts longer and more effective.
Has anyone had either of these done? Was it worth it? Did you have any bad complications? Did they put you to sleep? Did it take a long time?
A family member needs to have something to help problems. We hope this will make a noticeable improvement.
Thank you for any comments.

My 9 year old daughter is struggling terribly in Math class. She has her regular teacher a tutor as well as my husband and I helping her and she still is not grasping basic concepts.

She has trouble doing basic subtration and counting money as well as telling proper time by the minute.

I feel so bad for her, she is trying SO hard and she is so frustrated and just recently told me she felt like a "loser." I quickly dashed all thoughts of her ever being that and praised her for her other amazing qualities and told her that we would do whatever we could to get her the help she needs.

Only trouble is...I am at my wits end as to where to look or what to do for her. No one has given up on her by any means but we are all struggling to find SOMETHING to help her be more confident and accurate in her Math skills.

ANY and ALL help here would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

:)

Sounds silly I know, but my 7 month old puppy has just been diagnosed with CCD. He will chase shadows or reflections for hours on end. I've done the things that the vet has suggested, ignore him when he's doing it, rotating his toys so that he doesn't get board with the same things etc.

He gets a long walk every evening, and has slightly improved. Other ways I could keep him ocupied rather than just toys would be greatly appreciated!

I know, go see a vet, but wondered if anyone had experience or insight...
My lab-mix is an altered rescued female we've had for about 6 years. Her guestimated age is 8 or 9.
About three weeks ago she started limping on one leg and had buggery eyes. There was no obvious cause for the limp (no objects in her paw, no obvious area of sensitivity when touched/pressured). About a week later, her eyes cleared up, but her other front leg started hurting. Now, three weeks into it, all four legs are stiff, she thinks long and hard before getting up, has difficulty going down stairs, lays down all day, and no longer gets in the garbage!

Is this just arthritis? I got some doggy aspirin for her, but can't really tell if it works because she just lays down all the time. She is certainly not herself, and it seemed to happen in a short amount of time.

Thanks in advance!

This is my first pregnancy. The doctor doesn't want to see me for another three weeks for my first visit; I am about 6 to 7 weeks along. For a couple of weeks, I had no symptoms at all. The first symptoms I had was when I was expecting my period. They went away. Ever since yesterday, I have been feeling very ill to my stomach. I gag/dry heave at the weirdest smells and thoughts. I'm constipated. I'm extremely emotional when I'm alone. If I'm watching a movie or something, I'll cry at anything.

I guess I'm really worried about cramping. I cramp alot. By alot, I mean every day to every other day. Not constant, but here and there. It feels like bad menstural cramping, but I just get worried about it. I know a little is normal, but I don't know what normal feels like.

So it's freezing and my six month old bichon/poodle puppy needs boots to protect his feet. That signal is clear when the poor guy starts limping. From experience, can anyone recommend good boots that are functional. They'll stay on, are meant for snow/ice and are comfortable for my puppy, etc.

The boots I bought him fly away when he hops around. While shopping for his boots, it seemed like most only satisfy accessorizing your dog or it looked like it would take quite a time to put them on.

Having a bichon/poodle pup is definitely a change from my departed German Shepherd :)
