Enviroinment

he should be in the envirionment where everybody take series about studies.

parents:

lots and lots of encouragement to be given. evn for a small thing, you have to encourage.

when you introduce your kid to others, you have to prize him verbaly and it should be known to your kid. No over dosage.

Talk about the success stories infront of him and encourage him to cross that limits.

Kids that age are starting to question why they have to learn all this stuff, so give them some reasons. You'll need to get creative, and go beyond the typical "You need to get good grades now so you can get into a good college so you can get a good job". That argument goes absolutely nowhere!

Entice kids by giving them a choice about what they learn. What would they like to know? Do they want to know if there are aliens out there? Well, to really know we need to know how life evolved on Earth, etc.

Kids also need a sense of ownership of their knowledge. If they perceive learning as just memorizing a bunch of facts their teacher tells them, they won't see the point (and frankly, neither do I!). But if their perceive learning as a process, where they build their own knowledge and understanding about how the world works, that's much more appealing!

Get everyone who works with the child to stop expressing feelings of anger, frustration, etc. when the child isn't interested. Instead, in a very loving way, provide extra tutoring at home and school. Eventually the child will think, "Oh! If I do my work in class, I won't have all this extra work!" He will internalize the motivation to learn.

It's important that we don't get emotionally involved when children do not work. If we're angry, frustrated--the child can stop caring.

It is also not a good idea to give external motivations like money, treats, etc. You want his motivation to be internal.

I suggest that you keep the child in the company of studious children because the child will definitely feel like studying when other children are also studying. Also I request you to remember the saying "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.".

Asking him to sit for one hour study put all his concentration, so that he wil get his favorite dish or gift.
