If you are the only adult in your house, and your course is over 20 hours per week you will not have to pay council tax.
Depending on if you work as well as go to college you may be entitled to housing benefit

You need to ring your county council's Local Education Authority and ask about help for students. Or visit the UCAS website.

I went to university after working fulltime for years and I managed just fine: You won't have to pay council tax, but the rest depends on your situation ie whether you are single/ have kids/ disabled etc. You can also work part time.

You need more info than anyone can give on here, so look up UCAS, or the website for your university, or the LEA. Good luck!
