If you haven't thought that giving a rating is important (from a points perspective), consider this... If you submit a rating for answer that you think is good, not only will it tell others that it is a good answer, but it will also help combat against those whom cheat to try to get points by voting for themselves for best answer. So don't forget to vote for best answer, but do leave out rating any good answer as well.
You cannot give yourself a rating. However, you can give out a "thumbs up" (or "thunbs down") rating to anyone and everyone else you want, and you can also receive up to 50 additional points from "thumbs up" rating votes from other members if you receive a best answer. Make those good answers count as well as known to others by rewarding the good answers with your "thumb up" rating.
Thanks in advance for your support!
