It has always been traditional for fires to be extinguished by putting water (where applicable) on to the object burning, such as a house, to try to limit the damage to the object. Forest fires however the problem is not trying to save the object burning but from them spreading. You need far less water to prevent an object catching alight than you do to put it out, as well as fires will burn themselves out due to lack of oxygen which is why the outside parts of the log in a fireplaces usually dont get burnt, therefore wouldn't it be better to prevent parts of the forest catching alight, similar to back burning, by spraying areas that would catch alight that are in direct line to be burnt, rather than trying to put out the parts already alight? Why havent "they" thought of it? You didnt so why should "they"? Same reason "they" didnt think of the dangers of asbestos or the space shuttle blowing up!

I seriously need to know some of the symptoms of Bi-Polar, because my friends and I assume that a good friend of ours might have it. He's really young (almost 18), but we still might think he has it because of his rapid mood swings, he switches his words around, and just this past summer he's been getting into the stupidest fights/arguments with us for no reason, and I don't know.....he's just really changed in the past few months. But he's really changed in weird ways and I just want to know if he might have something wrong with him. I think his childhood probably has something to do with it, I don't know. I know I'm not a doctor...but I should diagnose him myself. I'm kind of worried, and I just want to be there for him whenever he needs it.

I have a 2001 audi a4. Last week the turn signals worked spiraticaly. now they have come to a complete stop. The bulbs are all fine, and the hazzard lights work fine. I'm not sure where to start. Any Ideas?

My 13 year old son has the most dry skin ever. Ever since winter came around I felt that his entire body is almost like sand paper.
I always see him itch it and everything. I went to a dermontologist and she said he just needs to be using lotion every day on his body after he takes his shower/bath.

I just got a new Nivea Dry skin lotion, which is very thick for him. I told him he needs to apply it every day after his shower. I come in after and I apply it on his back where he cant reach.

I found out he is not even using the lotion, the bottle is still full, but his back is doing better, from when I do it, I told him many times, but he never uses it. This is what I did so far.

-I showed him pictures of people with bad bad dry skin.

-I told him that girls hate guys who have dry skin-

-I asked him if he wants to pick his own lotion from the store.

And then one day, I caught him squrting the lotion in the toilet.. Please tell me what I should do!
