It seems to me that with my Social Security and birthdate they can find out everything I have ever done, where I have worked, been fired, married, assets, debts, etc. so my question is: are they actually looking for how forthcoming I am in answering the questions? Are they actually looking to see if I tell the truth in filling out the paperwork, is that the real test? I have been background checked before but this is really extensive. And what percent of the references will they actually contact? This is for a confidential City position

I am installing one of those microwaves that go above the stove. I need to know what the minimum clearence is so the gas stove doesnt melt the bottom of the micro. Do I have to change out the cabinet above the stove also? Anybody???

I'll make it simple and short. I have $1,000 left in my savings account.
I have just one credit card left to pay off--$2,000; I'm paying about $35 interest on every month on the balance.

I also have a personal loan to payoff--$3,800 left. I'm paying $220 month which is going to take until mid 2008 to pay off.

Should I put the thousand towards the credit card or the loan?

I have had this internet problem for a day...
ok this is my network layout.... I have a modem.. from that modem a eathernet wire(yellow) connects to a phone modem... the phone modem's lan line socket has a line connecting it to a wireless router, and the phone modem has the phone connected o it... and the computer is connected with the router..... for about a day the internet has been down.. we called our computer company and they sent a guy over.. we found out that if we connected our modem directly with the laptop the internet worked.. but when we connected the computer directly with the modem it didnt work.. so the problem must be in the phone modem, router, or desktop..
please help if possible.. thank you

I think it's Air Supply, anyway. The chorus ends with "Babe I love you." I can't remember much of the rest of the lyrics, but I can hear the song in my mind. The chorus goes something like "...it's you, babe, giving me the courage and the strength I need..."

Well I dropped my sony ericson k700i in the bath, managed to pull it out, was under the water around 3 seconds. Managed to dry it off as much as possible. It switches on but only a white screen shows up. Can it be left to dry out and will it work again or do I have to get a new phone?
