some baby juice? How much did you give him/her?
My baby is 4 months old and I'm thinking to give him a little bit of apple juice like a spoon or so mixed with water.

I waited till my son was closer to a year, only because he was constipated.

Beginner Juice
When, what, and how much juice to give your infant depends a lot on your feeding philosophy and your infant's individual tastes. Here are some healthy starter tips:

When? Resist the juice temptation until your infant is at least six months of age, preferably nine months. Introduce juice when your infant is able to drink from a cup. Juice doesn't contain any nutrients that your baby won't get more of from breastmilk or formula. Consider juice as a delivery system for extra water, which your baby needs once she is eating solid foods, since extra water helps baby's kidneys handle the extra salt from solids.

What? White grape juice is the most intestinal- friendly juice, since it is better absorbed and the sugar profile is easier on growing intestines.

How much? Best not to exceed these amounts:

6-12 months: 4 ounces per day
1-4 years: 6 ounces per day
4-12 years: 8 ounces per day
To avoid filling your child up with juice and displacing more valuable calories, dilute the juice at least with an equal amount of water.

No. That's too early. ALL they are supposed to have for the first 6 months is breasmilk or formula. They don't need anything else. Giving juice.....an incomplete food.....would take away from how much of the formula/breastmilk baby would drink.....which is what he really needs to grow. Also, juice is mostly sugar and not something he really needs. It could upset his tummy or he could have an allergic reaction to it. Not a good idea.

I didn't give juices until between 9-12 months and then there were seriously diluted.

I waited till 6 months. I always do a 1 part juice 3 parts water mix. I still do this with my son and he's 2 now. Don't rush it with your baby.

I regret giving my kids juice...its pure sugar...better to have a glass of water and some apple pieces than to have the juice. (Yeah 4 mos. is too young for apple pieces) but even the 100% juice is bad for forming teeth and is sugary.

at 4 months, you can try giving your baby apple juice or prune juice (too much prune will give him/her the runs)
make it 1/2 juice 1/2 bottled or purified water.
Orange juice is not recommended until he/she can eat solid foods safely, it can harm the stomach lining if you give it too soon, as will any artificial juices.
If the 1/2 and 1/2 seems too acidy, try adding a bit of water. Remember baby will make new faces at new flavors, or spit it out if he/she is unsure, you may want to try a couple "tastes".

My daughter did not begin having water till she began consuming youngster meals. Even then, she does not relatively have that so much water. She will refuse to drink the water if I positioned it in a bottle, so I've been hanging approximately an oz. of water into a bit of sippy cup. Like I stated, she most effective has water while she's consuming her youngster meals, and she or he most effective eats youngster meals two times an afternoon. She additionally mainly has a three or four ounce bottle after she's completed consuming her youngster meals. The leisure of the feedings are components.
