Im talking completely bare, down to the grayish smooth surface. What is the first step in making it a beautiful hardwood surface? You could even share step two, three for four if you care to do so. Thank you for your help.

I have an original watercolor painting that was heavily soiled during Hurricane Katrina, and I was wondering what the best way to clean it would be, or should I even bother?
The painting itself looks a little dusty, which is a thin layer of muck, consisting of whatever was flaoting around in the water, but it doesn't make the actual image look terribly bad. My concern more than the looks is, will the dirt layer cause the paper to deteriorate faster? Will cleaning it hurt it even more than the dirt itself? How do you clean a watercolor painting? I have cleaned hundreds of oil and acrylic paintings, but they aren't as fragile. I thought since the image stayed during all that water it could be cleaned, but I just don't have a clue how to go about it. Is there a chemical or anything I can use? Know a good restorer? Please help! Thank you in advance! :) By the way tha painting is done with top quality watercolors and is on top quality paper with high rag content.

George W. Bush never really served in the military. Yet, he is now Comander in Chief. His Generals have said (Not the Liberals as you folks like to keep saying) that to escalate the war in Iraq will not help the problem; that we need to get out and let the Iraqis handle their own affairs. Yet Bush keeps pushing his "more troops" agenda. WHY?
Does anyone have an answer that makes any (even conservative) sense.
I don't want jabs and slurs; I don't want smart aleck remarks. I don't want Liberals saying, "Aha!". I don't want Conservatives saying I'm stupid! I want a real answer, and I will conscientiously read and ponder each of them.

I've recently heard about tea baths and how they detoxify and stuff like that. So, what types of teas should I use? I'm not going to spend money on a special bath foam that has tea in it when I could just spend $1 on a box of tea bags. So if you could recommend a tea, and how to go about it, that would be great! compliment his ex-girlfriend? they went out and only broke up because he moved away. after 4 years he still liked/loved her or whatever...and he said he got over her about a year ago. they still talk and are "good friends." he tells her she looks good or that her picture is "cute" and that he misses her. is it possible he's saying that and feels nothing for her anymore? i know he loves me, but i still get VERY jealous when he tells her stuff like that. even if its just "a compliment from a friend to a friend."

I am in the process of making a quilt and I didn't pre-wash the fabric's before cutting, so I was wanting to know the safest way to wash them once I have completed the quilt. The fabric's and thread are all 100% cotton and the colors are creams, browns and reds. I know it would have been better to pre-wash first so please don't tell me that... but I started cutting the fabric's in a hurry.

I know that youtube is being a lot stricter with copyright infringement now that google bought it. I know that im not allowed to upload copyrighted material but i was wondering if i could upload madtv clips since there are tons already on the site and they havnt been taken down! Madtv must not care since they have their own account on youtube so they must know that their show is uploaded. Does that mean that madtv doesn't care and that i should be able to upload the clips? I read an article saying that companies are going to start suing the uploaders, not youtube, but would they give a warning or should i not upload the videos to be safe? thanks!
