I don't think we'll see anything like that until at least digital switchover when Ofcom auctions off the signal band where analogue TV will disappear from. Until then, Telewest offers the cheapest option with a HD box with hard drive recorder for £10-£15 a month.

The BBC have done TRIALS in the London region of HD on Freeview. You need a special Freeview box to see them though

Why did you buy a HD TV?
Buy a BlueRay or HDDVD and you're laughing. Otherwise don't bother. NO PLANS FOR HD TV on terrestrial.
