What do you think of this quote by Ghandi? I agree with it wholeheartedly.

To me Jesus is pretty cool guy whose reputation has been run down by his horrible fan-club.

That is good you like Christ, He is the one you should be watching anyway. Who can lead a perfect life, you? Then why do you or even Ghandi expect others to do so. Christians are not perfect, they are forgiven and loved by Christ. And if Ghandi really did say that then he was a bigot and hate monger and man in his position to speak out against people he doesn't even know. Yet you think he is right.

I really hope you don't get bogged down with a lot of scripture...

Jesus was everyones friend, he sought out the lowest of the low, and was thier friend till the end. Most Christains I know only hang out with each other. How dull!

I think that too many people who claim they are Christian have no sense of the man they are following. Very sad, as the world would surely be a better place. But ohhhh no just a whole lot of self-righteous scripture puking, and nothing going on upstairs. Tragic!!

I agree sorta with what he says, but i wouldnt exactly call us a fan club.

I will completely agree that alot of christians are not christ-like that is a clearly obvious point.

However some are very good people, and others try to be like christ and just do not suceed, after all christ is perfect and no human can be perfect.

Unfortunately yes Christians are so unlike Christ too.

That's the point. Everyone is so unlike Christ. Christians are just saved b/c they asked him in there heart and are "trying".

I would hate to judge all Muslims on these psychos that blew up the world trade centre.

I would hate to judge all whites by the KKK.

I would hate to judge all mothers by the one who drowned her five children

and so on and so on.

Good comment though . . . Jesus is a cool guy whose rep has been run down not just by his fan club but by PEOPLE in general.

God Bless

it is sad that many christians do not act anything like christ. i think of it this way, it is none of my business what christians do once they have heard the word of God. if they will not stop doing what they are doing and won't accept my help or anyone elses help there is nothing i can do but pray. i will still read my bible and believe in Christ regardless of what other people do.

Are you a girl? And if not, why is your name "pretty"???

Ghandi is right, the majority of Christians aren't Christ-like. However, everyone is filled with sin and at least they believe in Christ and his purpose for coming to this earth. because of this, they are more enlightened then others, even if they don't always practice what they preach.

I'm a Christian and I'm sad to say that there are too many Christians not acting like Christ.

The thing we all forget is that Christians are not perfect.
Only Christ was and he was God in the flesh.
you find bad people in all religions. Buddhists, mu slams,Jews and Christians are flesh and blood first. we all have hang ups and
make mistakes. I love the scripture that says for us to take the plank out of our own eye before we take the splinter out of our nabors eye. We all mess up, its how we deal with it that makes the difference. the key is to walk in love at all times and when you mess up, make it right if you can.

You, like Ghandi, want an excuse to continue in your sin. You are deluded in your own mind that you are able to judge others.
Matthew 7:1-2
1 "Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
2 "For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

Sow some more doubt in your life, reap fear and doubt. Follow Gahndi, he landed in hell. Luke 16:23
"In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom." read the rest of that story in your own Bible; I know you have one, 99.98% of American homes do.
