Mine don't lock, but they do pop. Depending on what I'm doing, how I'm sitting, determines how often I can do it in a day.

You should probably check with your doctor to be safe though if this is abnormal for your or if your joint is actually locking.

If you're certain that this happens only when moving your mouse, then the most likely problem in electrical interference. Mice use very low voltage, and do not typically have shielded cables. An older mouse may have a loose connection or even a short in the cable that can make some noise. This is most likely harmless, if annoying. The odds that spyware is making your computer click are next to 0 (spyware doesn't typically advertise it's presence unless it's popping up web pages). Try getting a cheap mouse from Best Buy or the like. You can see if that solves the problem, and can always take the new mouse back if it still clicks or you just don't like it.

I had this problem from 11 years old. I went to the doctors and was told it was growing pains.... Now I just get use to it at the age of 22!!! It got really bad about 5 months ago, when I didnt bother clicking my ankle back in place and it locked when I woke up and I was in complete agony and was unable to walk AT ALL! I decided it was time to go back to the doctors, and they assessed my joints and I was referred to the hospital....
... So basically it does depend on your age, as it can be just growing pains, but keep assessing it and don't make it go on for too long.

Hope that helps!x

If you are a teen going through puberty it should settle down with time. If you are concerned there is no better advice than seeing your doctor. It will put your mind at ease to know nothing is wrong.

Definitely not normal. You have popped it somehow out of its socket and it keeps on dislocating.
It may need surgery to keep it in the socket.
