hi all - me bugging again about my upcoming tattoo....for those that are inked, did your body actually release endorphines and the tattoo spot actually went kind of numb to the point where you weren't grimacing in pain - or were you in serious, I'm ready to cry mode the whole time?

Anyone here had the same problem b4? I have a desktop computer from MDG (Windows XP Home Edition/SP 1) and after reformatting it, there's no more sound. In "Device Manager", the following devices have the yellow question mark beside it: Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller, SM Bus Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). I couldn't find any software/CDs for any of them.
Anyone here who can tell me how to fix them?

they are approx 4 1/2 months old. they are brothers. they are generally very mellow. the vet says that the cats should be kept seperate so that they dont lick eachother...but I dont know what to do. they come home tomorrow and i am sure i will get better instructions then, but i thought that other cat lovers could give me some good tips!

how do christians seem to think that jesus has done things for them in their lives, from the seemingly small ("Jesus really helped with that algerbra test last week") to the larger scale (feeling that your current overall happiness is because jesus has took care of you and your life) and yet seem to be so oblivious to how harsh lfe is for many on this earth and how obviously absent the hand of providence is for HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of humans?

it's probably becuase THOSE people didn't technically believe in jesus, i guess.

Did moderates (the famous American silent majority) fall off the face of the earth? F**k these radicals on the left and the right who love nothing more than hearing themselves yelling at each other on the nightly news. It's like they need to feed off all the BS that they spew out of their mouths. Bush has shown that radicals in power suck and I'm afraid that the Democrats may just replace one radical with another and that will also suck for the American people. Bob, Celia, Sam and Daniel contributed money to buy their boss a retirement gift. Sam and Daniel each gave the same amount of money. Celia gave 12$ more than Daniel. Bob gave half as much as Celia gave. If the four workers gave a total of $81, how much did Sam give?

This is how I did the problem:

2x + x+12 + (x+12)/2 = 81
3x + 12 + x/2 + 6 = 81
3x + 18 + x/2 = 81
3x + 18 + x = 162
4x + 18 = 162
4x = 144
x = 36

36 is not the answer. What did I do wrong?

AA and Al Anon use a technique referred to as "emotional detachment" where the idea is to let a person who is making destructive choices make them and leave them to deal with the consequences of their choices. But, at least, unlike managers, these people won't be any different behind your back than they are to your face. Why do managers act this way?

I registered for a college math course. They require a TI-85 or equivelant, which isn't even made by TI anymore. So I started searching and I don't think there's a huge difference in price between the TI-86 and TI-89 platinum. Here's is a description of the course:
Emphasizes simplifying expressions, solving equations, and graphing functions, including linear, quadric, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic. Problem solving and mathematical modeling are integrated throughout. Appropriate technology to include a graphing calculator.

I know the TI-86 would do what I need, but would the TI-89 platinum do everything I need or is it made to do other things?
