Kate S has given you a truly great suggestion. Carl Sagan is my hero.

My second choice would be "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins.

I have to call mine fiction because I used no true names but all stories are from truth and all short stories.
History as it truely was. My own life with other stories I have saved for 40 years. All tied together with a family I call WEED.
If you like true stories check my site at www.wizeoldphart.com for a preview of "MY" books. True stories of kids growing up during the 40's and 50's. Pee your pants funny with a few tears. After the first book I had so many emails from my readers that I wrote the second. THE GOOD WEEDS and THE FAMILY WEED.
Thanks, Wayne

I'd like to recommend "12 Books that Changed the World" by Marvyl Bragg, it's interestingly readable and understandable. In the mean time, I'm reading on "Magna Cartar".

Between Silk and Cyanide, By Leo Marks. It's about code breaking in the second world war, and it's a really good read, funny and clever and engaging.
