I've learned that soda and coffee are both addicting. THis is probably due to the caffeine. I know that caffeine is used to treat headaches. Is it a drug or not? If it is, why is it allowed in soda and coffee? And why are yo;ung people allowed to consume it?

I watched a special somewhere that had some scientists that drilled into the ice several hundred or thousand feet deep, and retrieved ice with data proving that our poles reverse every million + years, Currently for example the north pole moves so many feet per year toward the equator. This study showed that eventually when the poles shift so far, they spring back to straight up and down in reverse suddenly and that profound changes in the atmosphere occur. Snow in Texas while the NE gets sunny and 60 Degrees (F) during the winter (as what is happening now pretty much!)
Any links or information that you all could post would help in a compilation of 'global warming' facts that I am attempting to assemble.

i recently got a sony cyber-shot 10.1 mega pixel digital camera recently for the holiday. i am looking into photography and am currently taking classes. i personally don't think it is a very good camera...but does anyone have one? what do they think?
and i am thinking about trading it in for a new one, a want a small compact one, can anyone give me some brands/types of digital cameras that they may recommend?

I saw a perfectly edged stripe on the moon this morning while sitting in traffic at about 7:50 AM EST on Wednesday, 01/03/2007. It was dark gray or black, about 20% the width of the moon. It was mostly vertical with a slight lean to the right. It only took a few seconds before the stripe appeared to slowly slide off of it, eclipse-like. Thinking about it after, it had exactly the look and behavior of a shadow. Is it possible that a satellite or something else man-made could have cast a shadow that large over the moon?

I'm 21 and I have longish hair but I want to get it longer the way it was when I was 17 past my waist because its healthier and prettier now than it was. I've noticed that most women cut thier hair super short right before they turn 30 or so. I think long hair is pretty but most people around here think hair should be short and that I should cut it again. Guys, what do you think is the ideal hair length for a girl in her 20s, and a girl in her 30s and then her 40s and up?? I was just wondering. I'm not going to change my mind about my hair because long hair suits my personality but I just want to hear from everyone else.
