Actually charlie weiss choked on the big one earlier while on his knees. . .that is how he got his lousy notre dame team in a BCS bowl which they certainly didn't deserve!! Notre Dame played as well as they could have. . LSU played poorly. . . sat 4 starters for missing curfew. . had their second best receiver hurt most of the game. . . and the officials tried their best to give notre dame the game. . . still. . . .NOTRE DAME GOT KILLED!!!! Jamarcus Russell showed he is better than Brady QUinn in every aspect!!! Maybe if Notre Dame wasn't handed a BCS bowl bid they didn't deserve every year. . .they wouldn't have suffered and embarrasing 9th straight bowl game loss!!!! NOTRE DAME SUCKS!!

Not a suprise at all. JeMarcus Russell is a very talented QB, and will probably be the #1 pick in the draft. LSU is to gifted overall for Notre Dame. This was a mismatch to begin with. Notre Dame was the sentimental pick to play in the Sugar Bowl. Now hopefully the voters will give teams who deserve to be there a chance in the future. Brady Quinn will now be known for not being able to win the BIG GAME!

i have always liked notre dame but i have to agree with just about everyone else here, they have consistently been overrated, and they just straight up do not deserve an automatic invite into a bcs bowl game, not when they are getting destroyed by any ranked team they play, fact is fact the bcs should do away with including them unless of course they prove themselves. yes they may be the most storied team in college football history but that is what it is history. to many teams played and worked really hard and would have made a much better matchup in that game for lsu, west virginia or rutgers should have been in this game

To choke would require the team to have been competitive in the first place. ND was never in this game despite the 14-14 score in the second.

Say it with me OVERRATED, no way in he!! did they deserve that match up, the 2nd best bowl game? Please.. did they get in by getting pounded by USC & Michigan the only two good teams on there cupcake schedule? But yet Rutgers gets a sorry match up against K State in the texas bowl?? Screw the BCS.
