What do you think about long hair on girls?

I'm 21 and I have longish hair but I want to get it longer the way it was when I was 17 past my waist because its healthier and prettier now than it was. I've noticed that most women cut thier hair super short right before they turn 30 or so. I think long hair is pretty but most people around here think hair should be short and that I should cut it again. Guys, what do you think is the ideal hair length for a girl in her 20s, and a girl in her 30s and then her 40s and up?? I was just wondering. I'm not going to change my mind about my hair because long hair suits my personality but I just want to hear from everyone else.

*forgot to say* My hair used to be past my waist but I dont think I want it quite that long again. I want it just above my waist.

Does it depend on what kind of hair you have? My friend has light brown very straight shiny hair thats very long to her waist. Mine is almost black and very thick and wavy and getting pretty long but not that long yet. I dont like it when hair is straggly at the ends. If its healthy I think it looks great long.

i like long hair on a girl to her breasts not any longer though as ive heard it becomes too hard to manage.
im actually looking for a girl with long hair very hard to find. but to me if long hair you must be tall about 170cm tall. and to me it will make you look sexy to me. as you can put your hair up or down but to me i like to her breasts as it can make a girl look cute when shes tired or been crying too.

I've never liked short hair on girls, it should only be short if it's gray. I like long hair, but when you get more than 4 or 5 inches past the shoulders, you start to look like someone who lives in the mountains and rides horses. I'm not really a fan of that look.

Past your waist is way too long. It looks outdated. Halfway down your back is awesome--you can do a lot of stuff w it when it is that length. Depending on your face shape, layers and bangs/sideswept bangs can look good too. I had really short-short hair like Halle Berry for 7 years, but I've been growing it for 4 years and I feel much more feminine with my long hair.

i would say go for it, if long hair is what u like, and it suits u then yeah let it grow. women over a certain age cut it short because they dont have the time or the energy to do their hair the way they did when they were younger. for the most part guys like girl with long hair

The exact length depends on the girl. I personally like girls to not have hair longer then their shoulders. I really find it unattractive when hair is down to the waist, but that is just me.

I think long hair, at least past the shoulders, is very attractive. Once it starts getting past the waist, it seems to be more trouble than it is worth.

i know im not a guy... buttt..
i think you should keep the long hair as logn as you can.. cause as you get older.. your hair wont grow the same as it does now...
and you will have to have it short as you get older..

or you can take advantage of it and cut it now, cause you are still young and your hair will grow back.

long hair is a significance of beuaty.
short hair is signifying class & style

im 15 and have always ad my hair down below my waist.
