you definately need more information. Theres a handful of different hepatitis B tests that can be done, some more common than others and depending on which ones are positive can tell you if you have an active acute infection, a chronic infection, are a carrier, are immune due to vaccination or are immune due to being exposed to hep b in the past. Until you get the information as to which tests were reactive then no one on yahoo answers is going to be able to answer your question fully.

You need more information. Your blood test will be reactive if you've had a hepatitis B vaccine. There are other hep b tests you will need to find out if you have the chronic, active hepatitis B. Most people that get hep b clear it on their own after a short period of time. You will need to get the hep b antigen tests, there are several. Here is a good site that explains the various tests. Best wishes.

Hepatitis B is a disease transmitted with blood to blood contact. If you were positive for a Hep B antigen, you have been infected with the virus... There are vaccinations for this as well, so if you have been vaccinated and had a positive ANTIBODY rather than Antigen, it means you are immune to the virus and cannot be infected with Hep B.

It's my understanding that this means you've been exposed to the disease. This does not necessarily mean that you have the disease. I'd ask your doctor to explain though as I'm not a doctor.
