I am a receptionist and also a college student. This is my second real job( 9 to 5) in 4 years. I have only been here a short time but I am barely making 20K a year and want to ask for 23.5K a year really soon. Lot's of positions in my area(Atlanta) start off at 30K. Should I wait around for them to offer or should I ask first or is that insulting to the boss?

It is a 3 year old spayed female, and it will meow to be let in, but then when the door opens, she runs off. She also does not let you pick her up and responds by scratching, meowing, and she used the bathroom on me one time. What is causing her timidness, and what could I do?

My computer hangs when i open some websites or it opens really slowly?
it took 10 mins to open this page itself...is there a virus or something? its an hp laptop purchased in august...everything else works fine like messenger etc..

yahoo and msn take 15 mins to open..but youtube opens immediately and the videos play normally..so i guess it cant be problem with my internet..i ran a scan with avast..no virus found

Well, I asked a question about three weeks ago about Boise State's, being undefeated, should get a chance to play to Ohio St...but I was given some resposes which made me feel if I had one of the wierest question....People told me that Sooners are going to beat em up by HUGE margin.....well right...I was watching this one very carefully.... I hope I will get respose from the some of same people again....

After doing one night stands with chicks......majority of them says that they are not that type but they just got caught up in the moment, whatever chicks. Stop lying to urself. Chicks wants 1 night stands as bad as guys but they just don't admit it. Instead they play clean and argue about their morals. What is wrong with these chicks? Chicks should be staying in kitchen cooking and cleaning.

I know that shorter wavelength = higher frequency. But when people just say oh, the shorter wavelength allows for the data pits/bumps to be packed in tighter. Why? If anything, I'd think amplitude would matter more. Or am I just visualizing a wave of light in the wrong way? Can someone clear this up for me?

I have notice a lot of people who would talk to you only if you want to be true friends with them, otherwise they just avoid you. I mean, whats wrong with casual talk. Some people i have talked to feel that if i don't truly help them, its no use making conversation. What makes a true friend and in this age should we really care ?

. the one i am going to now i hate. the school i go to know ppl think their better than everyone else. i have ppl that harass me for no reason. they think alls because i came from newlondon local schools they think im trash when im not. i miss my old school badly. at my old school i got along w/ every body and here at this school it seems as if im a nobody. dont get me wrong i do have friends herelike 9 of them but@ newlondon i had like a whole lot. at this school their is 5 different lunch periods and i got lucky and got a lunch period where i have no friends in that period of luncg my friends are in other ones than me.which means i sit by myself.which i also think is very immbarresing. during that lunch i have these boys that talk to me an they talk to me as if they like me as a gf which makes me very mad. what should i do about this? no i dont care what ppl think of me. its so bad here tht i had some 1 tell on me that i pulled a gun out on them when i didnt. what should i do?
