I've dated this guy for 2 years. He is extremely sweet and a great guy. Now we are engaged and we have lived together for a year. Now that I have spent so much time with him I am realizing that we do not have as much in common as I thought and I either want some time off to see what I want or I may find out I am ready to move on. How do you break off an engagement with dignity and gently as possible?

How do you make a substance with the following properties, especially out of cheap and/or household ingredients?

*Starts as a liquid that you can paint onto a surface (could be stored in a sealed jar)
*Dries once painted onto a surface
*Will slowly dissolve from the surface it was painted on when immersed in water (over a year's time)

Does anyone with knowledge of chemistry know how to put together such a substance?

Thank you

yahoo messenger in 2003. We have an apartment, purchased a car and both are going to school. She was raped last year at her old job and it has taken her a long time to start socializing again. Im having to work 2 jobs to pay the bills and with my schooling, it has become very stressful for me. I came from Australia to be in Indiana with her so i obviously didn't come here for the sight seeing. I've gone through so much; i left my entire family and all my friends so i could be with her. I've become very controlling of our money and sometimes hurtful with the things i say which she doesn't deserve after all she's been through. I keep telling her its just the stress of being overloading but she convinced me that i really am emotionally abusive. I really don't mean most the things i say, as i love her very much and would do anything for her. If we divorce, i will not only lose her but i will lose everything. should i walk away or should or try and ask for her back?

It's not surprising so many people are indeed against the conflict and invasion of Iraq by US-led coalition force when the real reason for the B/S in the first place WAS.. and indeed IS Afghanistan and it's surrounding border countries... who (allegedly) train and harbour Mr Bin Laden and his scallywags who (allegedly) are responsible for the attrocity to innocent people in the Twin Towers on 9th September 2001.

We can be respectful and agree that Saddam was a raving tyrant and needed to be dealt with as only such despots can be - by force.

Indeed, Saddam DID breach many infamous UN sanctions so needed to be punished... not "because" of the daily attrocities he had carried out in his name to his own people there in Iraq !! Oh no, he was mis-appropriating tax-payers money belonging to member countries of the U.N.... can't have that now can we?

However, US instigated a global war on terrorism after the tragedy of 9/11 - but, exactly WHAT was the REAL tragedy of that day?
a) The needless deaths of so many innocent people going about thier daily business in theh Twin Towers?
b) The US Government FAILING to act on Intelligents reports long BEFORE 9/11?

The point of sending troops into Afghanistan was retaliation for 9/11 - to deal with the alleged perpetrators of that attrocity !

Unfortunately, after a lengthy time on the ground with raging battle in the South and North of Afghanistan, US forces received ordeers from thier Commander-in-Chief in 2003,- namely one George W Bush, President of the United States of America, to withdraw 77% of US troops in readiness for "war" in Iraq, KNOWING it would leave NATO troops on the ground GREATLY under-manned and under-resourced in the ONE place that the world coud see a reason why the troops were on the ground in that country for the fall of the Twin Towers in 2001.

USA ASKED UK to contribute troops from the UK Nations Best asset and resource, despite the rotation fo US troops already being of great concern to NATO.

for me, and no offence to the well behaved schoolkids, its when some of them muck about and talk aloud or shout on the bus that everybody takes notice and are of whom are annoyed about it. hitting each other, cursing things like that. also, i dislike people blairing out loud music from their mobile phones, as opposed to listening to their music in peace through wearing head or ear phones. as well as litter and rubbish on and around the seats, you'd expect people who eat, drink or do whatever on the bus, train to pick up and dispose their litter when they finish at the nearest bin and as they get off at the next stop. there was one time when i was on the bus and as i was sitting down, i could smell vomit from a few yards away and from a couple of seats. it was foul, as well as putrid and disgusting.

I have some friends coming for a meal and have run out of ideas for food. Problem is one of them doesnt eat anything with spices or garlic in it. I've gone through all of my usual recipes but want to do something a little different. Any ideas?? I'm after something simple that can ideally be left in the oven simmering until ready to serve.

I owe $37.000 in credit cards. I paid on time until this month. I can not pay my credit cards anymore. I have two houses, one is rented. I am trying to sell that one. If it is sold I could get $30.000. The other one is the house in which I am living. It is not likely that the house will be sold any time soon. I decided to continue paying both mortgages and keep the houses but I can't pay my credit cards if I do so.

I have no idea about what can I do.
What could happen if I sell the house, pocket the money and not pay my credit cards never? I tried debt consolidation. Didn't work.
Maybe I will need to file for bankruptcy and lose both the debt and the house.
