It's not surprising so many people are indeed against the conflict and invasion of Iraq by US-led coalition force when the real reason for the B/S in the first place WAS.. and indeed IS Afghanistan and it's surrounding border countries... who (allegedly) train and harbour Mr Bin Laden and his scallywags who (allegedly) are responsible for the attrocity to innocent people in the Twin Towers on 9th September 2001.

We can be respectful and agree that Saddam was a raving tyrant and needed to be dealt with as only such despots can be - by force.

Indeed, Saddam DID breach many infamous UN sanctions so needed to be punished... not "because" of the daily attrocities he had carried out in his name to his own people there in Iraq !! Oh no, he was mis-appropriating tax-payers money belonging to member countries of the U.N.... can't have that now can we?

However, US instigated a global war on terrorism after the tragedy of 9/11 - but, exactly WHAT was the REAL tragedy of that day?
a) The needless deaths of so many innocent people going about thier daily business in theh Twin Towers?
b) The US Government FAILING to act on Intelligents reports long BEFORE 9/11?

The point of sending troops into Afghanistan was retaliation for 9/11 - to deal with the alleged perpetrators of that attrocity !

Unfortunately, after a lengthy time on the ground with raging battle in the South and North of Afghanistan, US forces received ordeers from thier Commander-in-Chief in 2003,- namely one George W Bush, President of the United States of America, to withdraw 77% of US troops in readiness for "war" in Iraq, KNOWING it would leave NATO troops on the ground GREATLY under-manned and under-resourced in the ONE place that the world coud see a reason why the troops were on the ground in that country for the fall of the Twin Towers in 2001.

USA ASKED UK to contribute troops from the UK Nations Best asset and resource, despite the rotation fo US troops already being of great concern to NATO.

Afghanistan was justified, that's where the people who attacked us were trained and supported. The fiasco in Iraq took our eye off of the ball. History will not be kind to this administration for this stupid move. The incompetence of this administration is truly astounding.

When in doubt ask why!
Here is a why one hardly ever ask the Why of, "Why the attack upon the towers"?
Not understanding that why has led to questions and many mistakes made by our nation.
Why attack buildings and what function did buildings support that made them a target?
Why did we the American populace not question the reasons?
Why was our response more in the line of revenge instead of justice?
Why was it necessary to take over a whole nation instead of just punishing the , as questioner mentioned suspect without proof, when the majority of criminals came from a completly different nation?
After a lynching did the perpetrators wonder if they did right or was it self defence of mind that they had to continue to believe in the right of situation.?
Why is it that sometimes after we have made a gross mistake we wish we had thought before we took action?
Why does guilt try and hide truth?
Why do we now have a nation where 64% say war in Iraq is wrong ?
Why is there not more individuals speaking out against it and against a government that denys those individuals thoughts?
Why does this "Silent Majority" choose to remain silent when alone but dares only in mass and anonimity dare to refute the actions?
Why is it the truth when known by a few still hidden to the many and the complexities tried to be minimized instead of analyzed?
Why is one answering a question with a question?

The true is Bush want power and more power and has many interests in that region. Twin Towers attack was just a pretext. The Iraq`s invasion is completely absurd.
