For a home phone this makes no sense so I'm guessing you're meaning your cell phone. Most cells double as modems but you have to go to either your service provider and purchase the cable or bestbuy or do a simple search for your phone on google and then search for attachments. Once it's connected they use your regular air minutes.

The software you need must be supplied by the phone manufacturer only. You check out with them. They would also provide the required cable for your phone and computer connectivity.
Then ask the customer care of the phone for the relevant settings that you should have in the phone so that you can connect to the net through phone. The internet charges will automatically deducted from your phone credit amount.

agree it would be horrendous to run up biulls on your cellphoine whilst downloading on a computer. Most interent services on cellphones are specifically targetted at cellphones. ie the content is talored to meet htat platfrom.. the biggest of these beeing the page size, lack of graphics etc..... cellphone websites are, effectivley, a series of cards (pages)which are downlaoded in one hit at the relatively slow speed of around 9600 baud (I think). you will not get any advantage in connecting your cellphone to your computer and use the cellphones internet connection..

far better to connect to another ISP direct or go to the library.

Well I did this once (it's quite expensive). Just get the dirver for the phone you have and then your computer will recognize it as a modem.

Hope this helps.
