Hi, I'm tasked to come up with a projector-based application to help engineering product designers in their meetings. But first I've gotta know what they do or discuss in their meetings. Anyone care to share their experiences?

They should represent problems, ideas and solutions. they show pictures, renderings, samples, models, plans and handy drawings. they gather to talk about why problem exists and how can over come it. they need chairs, tables, papers, pens and of course lots of coffee.
tell them first: cell phones off, no cigarettes please.

everyone brings their ideas to the "table" and all the key players brainstorm to adopt the idea, embellish on the idea or reject it and then talk about someone else's concept. usually there is a facilitator that moves the meeting along so it doesn't end up as a "round-table" discussion and there's also a decision maker present that will bless the idea into implementation!!
