I was told that in Windows Vista you will not be able to download in products such as Limewire. They told me that each song has a "code" and once the code is used up youo cannot listen to the song. Is this true? Thanks

It has Digital Rights Management but it will not block limewire. However use Limewire with care as many of the files are fake or viruses.

That's called an Urban Legend, and one of the more lurid stories going around about evil Microsoft and how they are going to control the internet and everything in our lives. Not true. The operating system can't do that.

And, I've used Limewire for years, download music every week, and have never gotten a virus. I've heard there may be virus in the movies, but I don't do movies.

i could ask why you desire a working laptop or laptop for college different than status? in case you're able to, choose for the steadiness of Mac Os X, plus it somewhat is surely a greater effective status image if this is the reason. As talked approximately, Vista is new and could be confusing for a while so in case you're able to positioned money right into a 13 12 months olds intercourse training (the likely use of a working laptop or laptop at that age) choose for some thing a splash greater depended on.

I don't think it's true. Surely Microsoft wouldn't be that stupid. They will lose alot of money and Vista will be a waste of time. Alot of people download music using P2P networks. If Vista won't allow downloading music, then noone will buy or upgrade to it.

Wow if it is, no one going to be getting Vista.

It is not up to Microsoft to tell us what we can and cant download. I will go to a mac computer before i let that happen.
