I have a family member who is dating some one who is on drugs and hasn't keep a job in over a year. She been coming around less and less. She didn't even come for christmas. She never missed chrismas. She not her self anymore. I told her how I felt and so has the other family members. What should I do? Let her lose everything. Thats the track she going if she dosen't change.

At the equator, the earth is spinning at 25,000 mph. A 747 cruises around 500-700 mph. How come when a plane is flying in the direction that the earth is spinning, it isn't actually going backwards? (and a side question that goes with this one; how come when you throw a tennis ball in the air in a plane, it doesn't smash through the back?)

Today i just met my dad's friend and he owns a company that spreaded through korea, japan, canada and the US. He also owns several factories and has many properties around the world. He started from the garage by experimenting with different chemicals and producing a product that cleans stains without scrubbing. He has been selling his product to hundreds of school districts and even UCLA. After hearing about how successful he is, this tells me that i have to invent a product in order to become filthy rich like him? His sons are managing a factory in canada and his daughter is managing the accounting for him. This makes me feel down because my parents are not wealthy, I have nowhere to start out from, i have no experience in business, i basicallly have no experience in anything. I am just a freshmen at UCR studying environmental engineering. I am scared that my life won't go anywhere with my major but i really want to help improve the environment. :(

Do you get offended when Christians try to convert you and talk about Jesus all the time (i.e. missionaries, Mormons, fanatic Christians, those who are so excited to share etc.) I'm not Christian, but surprisingly, I respect these people. They have strong faith in their religion (even if I think it is wrong lol) and I genuinely respect them for their vigor and concern for humanity. I'm Muslim and have met some very nice religious Christians. You can actually reason with them using their own logic (cuz at least they have a fixed belief in something). Sometimes they are kind of annoying ut at least they are reaching for their goals and have good intents. (just thought of the saying...hell is paved with good intentions....*snicker* I dont believe that tho) Anyway Happy Holidays :)

Just looking for any suggestions, ideas or personal experiences: My mom has stage 3 ovarian cancer and had surgery back in august. basically been in the hospital(s) all this time. Since admission to third hospital, they have given her 3 chemos and the Doctor says she has a 'functional bowel obstruction' (partial bowel obstruction). He says she is responding good to chemo and the ca-125 levels go down with each chemo. The bowel obstruction is due to some small tumors that went on the intestine after the surgery (because it took so long to get chemo possibly).

Mom's current problem is with eating...she doesn't always feel good and throws up at times, yet the Dr. says he sees no reason she can't eat (medically) and thinks some of it might be psychological. It's been roughly 2 months since she ate and about 4 months since she ate a lot of anything.

Any ideas on how she can work towards eating again so she can get off the TPN?

I just recently got back with my ex but I found out that he was going to ask out another girl the day after he told me he still loved me and wanted to be with me. I have asked him a lot of questions and for every question he just says "I'm with you aren't I? And that's all that should matter." I asked him why he still talks to her and he said because they are friends. I asked him if he'd tell her to lay off a little and he said he did and so to make him happy I started talking to her and then today I found out that he's only with me because I'm his first love and doesn't expect us to last and she's trying to win him back. Now I feel like he's really distant and he talks to her more than me and rarely returns my phone calls and never wants to hang out anymore. I'm pretty sure he's not cheating but idk b/c I live like a 2 hour drive away. Should I get out of the relationship now or what? I need advice. Please help!!
