There may have been a chance you opened up some skin when you put it back in and a little infection set in.
Try removing the piercing again. Clean the piercing and the ear with a 1:2 solution of hydrogen peroxide and cool boiled water, apply some triple antibiotic ointment over the piecing site and on the post and reinsert. Be sure to cleanse the piecing at least twice a day, no need to remove each time unless redness and or puss is present, then remove each time to clean until no redness/puss is present.

Your ear hasn't been pierced long enough, so it started to close. Now the hole is dealing with a foriegn object in it while it's tring to heal/close. This exact thing happened to me around 10 years old. What I did was slip them back in, pain & all, & wash the heck out of them & rotate them a little, every day. I also didn't take them out again for over a year. BUT, I'm not a licenced piercer, so why not call a piercer & ask them, just 2 be safe? Good luck. By, the way, my ears are doing great, 2 decades later.

For the first year, you really shouldn't leave the earring out for days at a time. At the very least put it on when you go to bed. Your ear hole is closing up, and by keeping the earring in during the first 12 months you prevent this pain from happening. I would recommend keeping the starter stud in your ear for a few days, continue with the cleaning routine (either rubbing alcohol or the solution given to you by the piercer) originally perscribed to you when you pierced, and twist and move the earring in your ear so that the hole gets stretched again. It's basically like being back at step one.

I believe your wounds are not yet healed. It was a bad decision to take the earings our for a 3 days. Your earing hole must have almost healed and closed. Another explanation is that you could be allergic to the earing metal. Certain people are allergic to silver or other metallic substances. So your body must be reacting to the metal and causing the infection. One quick way of healing and getting rid of the infection is by mixing a good amount of salt in a little water and applying it to the ears. Try coating your earing with some salt water and then wear it. This might feel a little pricky but believe me it works. If you are allergic to the metal you could try coating your earing with transparent nail polish... this works for my sister. Do this only after you get rid of the infection first and I don't suggest you do this if your earing is an expensive piece.

I've done that... your piercing had started to close, and what you actually did was repierce the ear... I've done it many times... hurts for a while, but as long as it doesn't get infected no big deal.
After a while, enough scar tissue builds up, and the holes take longer and longer to close. I suspect that mine might have closed as I haven't worn an earring in like five years... but I could still easily punch through the thin scar tissue and it would be fine.
Only suggestion - get some rubbing alcohol, dip the earring in it, and reinsert it... that will kill any possible infection that might be developing.
Its all cool.

a million. You knew you weren't meant to stretch that quickly, yet you probably did it besides. this is between the main motives it hurts lots. you're able to desire to attend some month between sizes, regardless of the way it feels in some days or a week. Wait a month, no much less. 2. Tapers at the instant are not rings. you should be stretching with a taper and shifting to a pair of no-flared plugs right this moment and save those in at the same time as your ears are healing from the stretch. 3. specific, take them out and positioned the 14g decrease back in. toddler the hell out of them, and wait a damn month in the previous you attempt to pass up a length lower back. learn how to stretch precise and you will no longer have any problems.

IT hurts because you just pierce your ears and it is healing up.You should not take the earring out for long since as you just pierce your ears and it is still healing.I would recommend you only take the earrings out when you are cleaning the hole.

Your ear could be more sensitive than some and some peoples' ears take more time to heal than others. And it could also have something to do with the the type of earring that you you have, your ears may be sensitve to that sort of metal and you could need hyperallerginic earring.

Its likely that when you left your earing out the hole tried to close up/ heal itself. This is fairly common especially in newer piercings.

Your ear is just trying to heal, that's all.
Don't be too concerned. I wear earrings once a year and although it takes a little bit to put them in, it's nothing too bad.
