Friend, left to attend to his failing Mother. He went out, took his usual Karate class, went to his friends home. Drank too much, went home. His Mother wanted to know what he had learned karate class. He was showing her when the kudo stick hit a ceiling fan that took the stick out of his hadn and flew towards Mom. She hit her mouth on the table. Her mouth bleeding she got to the bathroom where she fell on the tub hurting herself more than before. He heard her fall. He was too drunk to help and passed out. When he awoke the morning, she had passed away in her sleep. He was sentenced to 14 years after taking the Alfred plea. He just went to court and was classified as a slayer. Unfourtantly he is an heir. His mother owned lots of Federal land in two other states. I, a personal representative to the estate sold their home. He represented himself without counsel. The county we live in knew this family for many years. His sister has been awarded all there was. He can appeal the courts decision but not without counsel. Can anyone help? This has been a nightmare for the family.

I'm 20 and have known this guy since I was 4 years old.
In the past we knew of each other and hung out because of mutual friends and family, but never really talked to each other. We lost contact for about 7 years and I recently met him again at a friends party and we had one of those really good conversations. Like you really feel a connection, a closeness. He's a musician and he asked for my number so that he could txt me about his gigs. The next day he txts me to tell me it was good to see me and asks for my email as well.
So he mass-txts and mass-emails me about his gigs for a while and I go to a few of them at the beginning. Gigs are impersonal and after a while i felt frustrated that things were so impersonal, so I stopped going.
So whats going on? If you like a girl, you don't leave them hanging there right? Does he see me as a long lost childhood friend?
Worth going to anymore gigs??

it doesnt make sense to me. my dad tells me she just wants me to turn out to be a wonderful mother, but she's ALWAYS yelling it seems like...except when she's not home. when you yell at your kids, do you think it really makes them think you love them? i know she loves me, but why cant she just ask me...not command or 'nicely' (if you know what i mean) threat? i know im not the only child going through this. why why why?

After just a few years of marriage, filled with constant
arguments, a young man and his wife decided the only way
to save their marriage was to try counseling. They had
been at each other's throat for some time and felt that
this was their last straw.

When they arrived at the counselor's office, the counselor
jumped right in and opened the floor for discussion.
"What seems to be the problem?" Immediately, the husband
held his long face down without anything to say. On the
other hand, the wife began talking 90 miles an hour
describing all the wrongs within their marriage.

After 5 - 10 - 15 minutes of listening to the wife,
the counselor went over to her, picked her up by her
shoulders, kissed her passionately for several minutes,
and sat her back down. Afterwards, the wife sat there
speechless. He looked over at the husband who was staring
in disbelief at what had happened.

The counselor spoke to the husband, "Your wife NEEDS that
at least twice a week!"

The husband scratched his head and replied,
"I can have her here on Tuesdays and Thursdays."

I've known HTML and Java for quite a while, but have not kept up with the latest in programming. Can anyone explain the main differences? Is HTML for Windows and C ++ for Mac or something to that degree?

For the personal (non-corporate) investment account of a Canadian resident/citizen, are gains in the US exchange-listed bullion ETF (ie. SLV, GLD, IAU) securities taxed as capital gains (ie. 50% inclusion rate)??

The reason I'm asking is because these funds are not registered
investment companies, but are structured as "grantor trusts" instead.

I know that other US and foreign equity ETFs are legally
recognized as "registered investment companies" and are thus exempt from the "foreign investment entity" legislation which could otherwise cause for onerous taxes; so
ETFs and closed-end funds which are registered investment companies benefit from the same tax treatment as Canadian stocks with respect to dispositions (ie. simple capital gains w/ 50% inclusion rate).

But do these "Grantor trust" strutured metal ETFs (ie. GLD/SLV) also benefit from the same favorable tax treatment (50% inclusion rate of realized capital gains and nothing else)?

I just decided to use a front loading commerical washer today and everyone else's loads seemed to have more suds than mine. I used arm & hammer liquid detergent and I just poured in what seemed to be tons of soap, but still not alot of suds. These are the HUGE washers that hold 4 loads of clothes. I put in more than enough for 4 loads yet not really any suds, any tips/suggestions?
