My 49 year old smoking, drinking, coffee addict husband went to a new neurologist for cluster headaches. The doctor noticed his heart had an irregular beat. Said it was probably nothing and sent him to md for a ekg. The md did ekg and said it was probably nothing but sent him to cardiologist. The card gave him a stress test which he passed without even a sweat but noticed his heart did dip down on the monitor. (like some beats up one beat down, etc) So he started talking about doing a heart cath and possibly putting in stints. My husband feels fine, his headaches are gone. When they called to make the app. for the heart cath. I asked if it could be done on another day. The nurse said (altho this doc has about 12 associates) that "he" wanted to do the heart cath because he was familiar with the stress test. Alarms went off, this could be unnecessary surgery. My girlfriend has pvc and it sounds like the same thing. Too much caffeine, alcohol, lack of sleep. What to do??

When pnemonia is diagnosed while in the hospital at what point is it considered hospital acquired pneumonia? I am thinking within 48 hours after admission it is still classified as community acquired pneumonia. Does anyone know if this is correct?

i have a 40gb hard drive connected via ide to usb2.0 but cant access files on this drive . it shows up as mass data storage device in system tray and as hard drive in hardware list.. was used in my previous pc as storage and worked fine does not have o/s installed on it just pictures and files...can you help?..cheers

I am 36 year old woman who is love with her husband ,happily married , and I have four kids .I have one skeleton in my closet though my eldest sons biological father is not my husband.His biological father was my first love and childhood friend who i dated from middle school through highschool we were both pretty wild and partied a lot at the time and he was not ready to be a parent so he left but paid childsupport.Our neighbors of the past 6 or 7 years have been my sons biological father and his new wife.Was never an issue i began going out for cofee with my ex. once in a while mainly to talk about our son nothing more (my hubby was aware).His wife was never told that he had a child and when she found out she raised hell on me.She has been making my life misreable over this even at church functions.

My family is going out of town the day after Christmas on a 12 hour drive.. therefore we had hoped to leave at 4am. Well my son was to visit his father on Christmas day around 2pm.. So I asked him to have my son home on Christmas night so we could leave. I have even offered to let him have him at 11:00 am instead of 2. He has said no. He is willing to bring him home at 8am but not the same night. My new husband says he doesn't want to leave any later than 5am... I am so stuck in the middle. I can't let my ex have him Christmas eve as my entire family is coming into town that night to see my son and I. What can I say to my ex to convince him to let me have my son that night? I am so stuck in the middle and just don't know what to do. I can't make everyone happy. Who should I expect to give in here or should it be me? I just don't think all this shuffling areound so early in the morning is fair to my son. My ex knew about this and is now making things very hard.

I'd been hearing lately that red wine was so much better for you than white wine. I actually have a friend who, as she puts it, moved on over to the dark side and started drinking red although she preferred white.

Recently, I read an article quoting the American Journal of Agricultural and Food Science (??) saying white was just as healthy. I can't find the article though. Anyone read this or know where I can find it?
